When Venis had answered her door, she was informed that they were there with packages for her and for her Granddaughter. She called out for Kyra that she had a delivery as she took hers and went to he desk with it.
She set the vase of roses on her desk, smiling as she recognized the handy work. It was a vase made by Isah. Part of the hundred year collection. Anything put in a vase from the hundred year collection will survive for a hundred years.
She opened the box of chocolates and looked at them with a smile. She took them into the kitchen and put them on the counter. That way anyone who wanted one could have one. Maybe she would even eat a few of them herself.
She took the balloons and bear to her room and let the balloons go. She noticed that Eros wasn't in there. So she thought something was up. But rather than ruin the surprise by reading people within the Inn she chose to just wait and see.
She read the invitation within the ornate envelope. She pulled out the top right desk drawer as she stood there reading. She pulled out a small box and set it upon the desk. Then she set the invitation down and opened up the large box.
She shook her head and chuckled when she saw the mass of red material. She picked the dress up and began to lift it from the box. There was a whole lot of skirt to the dress. It was very formal and made her smile brightly, fang and all.
She carried the dress down to her room and placed it on a seamstress dummy. Then she went and got into the shower. She hoped that she wasn't preventing Kyra from getting ready. But just to be sure, she used her own heat.
So after her cold shower, that she made hot herself, she stood behind the dress and started to play with her hair. It would have to be up, in some form at least. It was dragging the floor almost three feet behind her now, way too much.
She settled on a high ponytail with a fountain effect so that it still looked wide as the curls cascaded down her back. She used the hair from almost half way up the back of her head for a braid. Then she used the braid to secure the pony.
She looked like a red-haired version of a Jeanie off of a twentieth century sitcom called 'I dream of Jeanie'. Well, with way longer and curlier hair of course. But she knew that a tiara would distract from the hight that she had accomplished.
A pair of classic styled six inch stiletto heels for her feet would help to tone down the red. Some black lace gloves as well, the kind that had no hand portion, more like sleeves that came to a point on the hand and hooked to the middle finger.
She had a black faux fur stole, but she passed that over, a black silk wrap with a red lace overlay was chosen instead. She placed it against the dress to be sure. It was a perfect match. She chose a set of diamonds that went with the tiara.
She put the earrings in and then put the necklace on. She took off most of the rings she was wearing, leaving only her wedding set and a big diamond on her right hand. Then it was time to put the dress on. Very carefully, of course.
Now that she was certain that everything was in place she left her room. She had heard the door a few minutes before she had put her dress on, so she knew Kyra had already headed down. So she left Midnight alone in the room.
She started down the first of three flights of stairs when her stomach twisted into knots. She stopped and held to the hand rail for a moment. The upset stomach passed shortly. Well, it returned to the usual levels that she lived with.
She made her way down to the fourth floor landing. She wrinkled her brow for a moment, but then continued down. She made it to the third floor landing and was even more confused. Tasha was sure cranky for some reason.
She started down the last set of stairs that were between her and the ball room. She got to the doorway just in time to see the doors closing behind a red dress. She didn't see who it was, the doors were too far closed for her to tell.
She closed her eyes for a moment and then breathed a sigh of relief as she found Inion, and she wasn't there yet. That meant that Venis wasn't too late. So she straightened her dress as she waited to be announced to the room.
She had forgotten to grab Inion's gift off her desk. So she closed her eyes and pictured her desk in her mind. There was a spark of light and she reached through a portal. Her arm was gone up to her elbow for just a moment.
When she pulled her hand out she had the tiny little box. There was another twinkle of light and the portal was gone again. So now all she had to do was wait patiently. She still had no idea what was going on, she hadn't peeked.

Inion looked around as the other girls seemed to have ditched her. She finished getting ready choosing a simple pair of diamond earings and cuff bracelet to match the dress. Looking in the mirror she pulled her hair up trying to figure out how she was going to wear it. She decided what she wanted to do, the design would require her to use magic to create the look. Small braids close to her scalp forming heart shapes from her forhead to about 3 inches back. The rest of her hair was braided in a single long braid with red ribbon braided into it. Loose curls framed her face.
Once she was finished getting ready she turned to Croga "don't think you are dtiching me." He came up to her and leaned against her. She put on a black diamond studded collar on him and rested her head on his before getting up.
She grabbed a pair of silver strappy heels before heading out the door. It was easier to carry the shoes and put them on once in the inn then wearing them and walking across the grass. Her and Croga made thier way to the inn. She held up the train of the dress so she could move a bit more freely and to make sure it didn't get damaged.

Joseph chuckled when Fia said that he looked good enough to eat. "You look simply amazing yourself my dear." he watched her look through the bag. He loved the looks she was getting as she was seeing all the trinkets. And he hadn't even given her her personal gift yet. When she said that she had no idea how she was ever going to show her appreciation he grinned. "Breakfast in bed?" He winked at her too.
When he opened his gift he gasped. "Oh Fia, it do be lovely." A little of his background bleeding through when he spoke. He was just too shocked to think before he spoke. He slid the ring on his finger, it was a little loose, but his knuckle would hold it on. "I love it, thank you so much." He leaned over and kissed her softly. He hadn't even expected to get a gift. It was a wonderful surprise for sure, and he loved it.
Jason let Juliet fix the bracelet for him. "I don't think it's too girly. A little femininity is just fine when a guy is secure in his manhood." He smiled at her. Her smell was intoxicating, but she beat him to the punch on the noticing of the scents. "I was just about to say the same about you. The aftershave is new, I'm glad you like it. Is your perfume new too? I love it." He leaned in close and touched his lips to hers softly.
The doors were opened again once Catrina was seated. The man cleared this throat before he spoke. "Lady Venis Celestial Sanderson Crow Asgard Jordianthan, The Vampire Goddess of Fire and Protection, Natural born witch and God of Rhy'Din." He bowed to her as she stepped in the doors. When he righted himself he glanced to Eros and smiled. He had never seen her look so lovely in red. Eros had chose well.
Once she was seated the doors were opened again. This would be the last time. He smiled and cleared his throat again. "Lady Inion de Solas Geal the moon fairy." It was known that she was royalty, and that she was a guardian of one of the swords, but he didn't think that she wanted all that announced to the room. Besides, at least he didn't add that she was the Birthday girl, though the thought had crossed his mind.
Once Lady Inion had entered the room, the two men who were outside the doors came inside. Venis' gift was added to the table of gifts and the table rolled away just before Inion had entered. So that was all safely taken care of until it was time. Shamus walked up to her and offered her his arm. "My God's you look magnificent" He handed her the gift bag and walked her to their table. He couldn't help but smile.

He just smiled as he walked over to Venis and put his arm out for her. "You look lovely." he said with a smile. When she took his arm he walked her over to their table and pulled the chair out for her. "There you go." With that he sat down next to her.

Fia leaned over and gave Joseph a tender kiss on his cheek and whispered, "Oh darlin I think I can arrange breakfast in bed." Her gentle laughter filled his ears. "MMm its nice to hear your accent. Reminds me of home even more. I am glad you like the ring. I wasn't sure if you would." She, like the other fairies in the cottage never hide thier accents, hers was just a bit thicker then the other girls. She leaned her head on his shoulder. Tonight she was feeling very romantic and more tender then usual. Her hand reached out to his and fingers intertwined into his.

Juliet looked up at him and smiled. "Yes it is new, Inion bought it for me." She blushed a bit for a moment "I am glad you like the braclet. She had never really let go of his wrist and her hand slid to intertwine her fingers into his just before he leaned in for the that kiss. The blush deepened as she leaned into the kiss and returned the kiss. When thier lips parted she giggled softly, not that it was awkward or anything, in fact it was very warm and sweet. She just had a moment of embrassment at sharing thier kiss in front of others. She leaned her head against chest for a moment till the heat of the blush had faded. A bright smile was on her lips as she looked up at him.

She was thankful she had the chance to slip on her shoes and straighten her dress before the young man opened the door. Inion stepped through the door after she was announced, at first she thought she was late since it seemed everyone else was already there and settled. She gave her girls a playful glare, then turned that glare to Shamus and stuck out her tongue at him.

Shamus chuckled as he pulled out the chair for her. He leaned over her and whispered to her from behind as she sat down. "Ya can use that tongue later little missy." He chuckled as he pushed her chair in for her. He took a seat beside her and leaned over to whisper to her some more. "And might I add, {1}Breithlá shona mo chuid Gaeilge álainn eirigh." He smiled before placing a soft kiss upon her lips. No, the Scotsman didn't speak Irish. But his best bud Joseph, the right proper Irishman did.
It wasn't that Joseph hid his accent, it was just that he had been so far separated from anything Irish for so long that his accent was just wearing off. Shamus and Paul had the same problems. So to make Fia feel even more at home he went one further. To the accent he added Irish. {2}"Is breá liom go fírinneach dúiseacht in aice leis duit ar maidin, bricfeasta a shuimiú agus a bheadh sé ar neamh." He hoped that he could put a smile on her face with that comment, because he meant it.
He welcomed the holding hands, he too was feeling more romantic than usual. "I love the ring, and no one will ever get it off my finger." It was rather unlike the two to feel like this, Joseph wondered if it was due to Eros' ambiance. Not that he was hating it. Just as long as they eventually came to their senses and remembered that they were just friends with benefits. That was what they were, right? He smiled and then kissed her deeply, with a long, slow show of passion.
Jason smiled when Juliet buried her face in his chest. He gave her hand a little squeeze as she had interlaced her fingers with hers. He chuckled softly when she looked up at him. He looked down into her breathtaking eyes and whispered. "There's no need to be embarrassed, I would bet you dollars to donuts that we are going to be the least affectionate pair in here tonight, or close to it at least." He kissed her forehead and chuckled. After all, they were still in the early stages of their relationship.
Now that all the ladies were seated with their escorts for the evening dinner was being served. Dinner consisted of a lobster tail, steak, baked potato and asparagus. Gwendolan was served a salad though. The men brought carts of covered plates and carried bottles of wine and champagne. They even had some bottles of sparkling apple cider for those who were under age or preferred to not consume alcohol. Once dinner was served the men moved to the back of the room to wait.
Dinner was a quiet hum of conversation and eating. If someone motioned for a waiter one of the topless men would answer the beckon. When people were starting to finish their meals the men started clearing the plates. They were careful to not disturb the guests. And once all the plates were cleared they went to get the first part of dessert. While they were doing that, there was time for gift giving from the men. Just about everyone had agreed that Ivan was going to give Cas hers first.
Ivan pulled the gift box out of his jacket pocket. He had rehearsed this earlier, and he hoped that he didn't screw it up. He set the box on the table and slid it towards her. "Happy Valentine's Day baby girl. I know that we are amongst friends and family here, which is why I am able to tell you something that I have waited a long time to say." He took a deep calming breath. "I am completely and irrevocably in love with you Casandra Marie Lightheart." He then waited for her response.
Everyone waited with baited breath to see if Casie was going to be the next woman to flea the room. They also wanted to see her reaction to the gold diamond and ruby tennis bracelet that he got her. So the room was quiet for the amount of time that it took for Casie to react to Ivan. Even the employees from the Keep who had been brought over to work for a couple of days were waiting. So much planning had gone into this night, and they all wanted it to go perfect for everyone involved.
Once Casie responded to Ivan the other men started to give their gifts to their ladies. Joseph had his little box out already. He handed the gift to Fia. "I hope you like it my dear. I tried to find the perfect gift." Her gift was a pair of white gold heart shaped earrings. They weren't too fancy, but she wasn't really the overly frilly type to begin with. Fia had a bit of tomboy in her. And Joseph wouldn't have it any other way. He thought that she was perfect just the way she was.
Shamus wasn't far behind with his box. He pulled the box out of his jacket pocket and handed it to Inion. "Happy Valentine's day gorgeous." Inion's gift was similar to Fia's. But the main differences were the fact that Inion's was a little more fancy, and a necklace rather than earrings. But it was a white gold heart on a twenty-two inch white gold chain. Shamus saw it and had to have it for her. He thought it was as flawless as she was. He just hoped that she felt the same way about the gift.
Keven had to pull his gift from the seat of the chair beside him. He was really nervous about Cat liking the gift. It was a figurine of the Venus that Michelangelo painted on the roof of the Sistine Chapel. But her hair had been chopped off and her locks had been replaced by Pindragons. "Happy Valentine's Day Cat." He smiled at her as he handed her the box. He had seen the gift and thought of her instantly, then of Venis, but Cat first, because of the Pindragons. So he was a bit nervous.
A few of the men had their gifts sitting in chairs beside them. William was another of them. As he pulled the box out of the seat he smiled at Aryanna. "Hope you like it Ary, I thought it was almost as beautiful as you. But if you don't like it, I can get you something else." He was not as nervous as some of the other men. If it wasn't perfect he would just take it back and get her something else. And if she liked the unicorn figurine maybe he would take her to see Venis' unicorns in the morning.
Paul also had a gift sitting beside him. He lifted the box from the chair, and though it was wrapped differently, it was almost the same sized box. Paul and William had gone shopping together. "Happy Valentine's Day Shay. I know that it's not as lovely as you, but it came a close second." He wasn't sure if she liked Pegasus' and he couldn't take her to see a real one, but he would figure something out for her. He just hoped that she liked the china figurine that he had for her.
Jason was probably the most nervous of all the men. He had been out shopping for Juliet when he saw a teddy bear dressed like William Shakespeare. He knew on sight that she had to have it. And to go with it he found her a copy of the Bard's most infamous play. "Here you go sweety, Happy Valentine's Day. Once I saw this, I didn't bother to keep looking, it was perfect." At least he thought it was anyway. He handed her the gift bag and bit his bottom lip nervously.
Of Venis' employees, that left Manny. Who pulled a little box out of his jacket pocket. He had found a gift that his beloved girlfriend would simply adore. Of that he was sure. It was a white gold pendant on a twenty inch white gold chain. What made it so special was that it was shaped like an envelope. And it opened. And a little white gold note slid out. It read 'I love you'. It was like getting love notes from him as much as she wanted. He didn't speak when he gave it to her.
The substitute employees were putting the finishing touches on the first part of dessert as the gift giving continued. It was taking them as long as it was because there was something special planned. And they had to make sure that they didn't screw anything up. Manny would have their heads if they did. And that was one fire they never wanted to play with. The other being Venis of course, but Manny could be just about as bad. And given it was his surprise, it was being handled with care.

Shamus wasn't far behind with his box. He pulled the box out of his jacket pocket and handed it to Inion. "Happy Valentine's day gorgeous." Inion's gift was similar to Fia's. But the main differences were the fact that Inion's was a little more fancy, and a necklace rather than earrings. But it was a white gold heart on a twenty-two inch white gold chain. Shamus saw it and had to have it for her. He thought it was as flawless as she was. He just hoped that she felt the same way about the gift.
Keven had to pull his gift from the seat of the chair beside him. He was really nervous about Cat liking the gift. It was a figurine of the Venus that Michelangelo painted on the roof of the Sistine Chapel. But her hair had been chopped off and her locks had been replaced by Pindragons. "Happy Valentine's Day Cat." He smiled at her as he handed her the box. He had seen the gift and thought of her instantly, then of Venis, but Cat first, because of the Pindragons. So he was a bit nervous.
A few of the men had their gifts sitting in chairs beside them. William was another of them. As he pulled the box out of the seat he smiled at Aryanna. "Hope you like it Ary, I thought it was almost as beautiful as you. But if you don't like it, I can get you something else." He was not as nervous as some of the other men. If it wasn't perfect he would just take it back and get her something else. And if she liked the unicorn figurine maybe he would take her to see Venis' unicorns in the morning.
Paul also had a gift sitting beside him. He lifted the box from the chair, and though it was wrapped differently, it was almost the same sized box. Paul and William had gone shopping together. "Happy Valentine's Day Shay. I know that it's not as lovely as you, but it came a close second." He wasn't sure if she liked Pegasus' and he couldn't take her to see a real one, but he would figure something out for her. He just hoped that she liked the china figurine that he had for her.
Jason was probably the most nervous of all the men. He had been out shopping for Juliet when he saw a teddy bear dressed like William Shakespeare. He knew on sight that she had to have it. And to go with it he found her a copy of the Bard's most infamous play. "Here you go sweety, Happy Valentine's Day. Once I saw this, I didn't bother to keep looking, it was perfect." At least he thought it was anyway. He handed her the gift bag and bit his bottom lip nervously.
Of Venis' employees, that left Manny. Who pulled a little box out of his jacket pocket. He had found a gift that his beloved girlfriend would simply adore. Of that he was sure. It was a white gold pendant on a twenty inch white gold chain. What made it so special was that it was shaped like an envelope. And it opened. And a little white gold note slid out. It read 'I love you'. It was like getting love notes from him as much as she wanted. He didn't speak when he gave it to her.
The substitute employees were putting the finishing touches on the first part of dessert as the gift giving continued. It was taking them as long as it was because there was something special planned. And they had to make sure that they didn't screw anything up. Manny would have their heads if they did. And that was one fire they never wanted to play with. The other being Venis of course, but Manny could be just about as bad. And given it was his surprise, it was being handled with care.

Dinner was perfect. She ate it with Ivan as they talked and laughed. She took a sip of her wine. Ivan's present was sitting there on the table. She was excited and nervous. She hoped he liked the gift.
When dinner was finished Ivan was sliding a box over to her. She opened it as he began talking. When she went to put it on he helped her.
"I am completely and irrevocably in love with you Casandra Marie Lightheart."
Cas just stared at Ivan. She wanted to laugh and cry; she was so happy right now. She was speechless. She was just looking up at him green eyes wide as she stared into his.
Ivan smiled back at her. "Say something." He brushed the side of her face with the back of his fingers.
She was almost shaking. When he touched her face she closed her eyes. She slid her box over to him. When he opened it he would find a watch. It was made out of platinum with an emerald face surrounded by diamonds. On the back of the watch was an inscription.
"For the one that has been there time and time again. Love Cas."
He caught his breath. "Oh Cas ... I know I needed a new one, but this ... This is ... Wow" He removed his watch and removed the new one from the box. That was when he saw the inscription. He blinked as he read it then looked back at her beautiful emerald orbs. "It's amazing baby girl. Thank you so much." He leaned down and kissed her as he put the watch on.
She returned his kiss and smiled at him as tears slid down her face. She finally found her voice.
"Ivan I love you too. I think I always have. Forgive me for letting it take this long to figure out?"
She touched the bracelet he had just given her.
"You gave me more than you know. I have your heart and I will always ware it on my sleeve"
He smiled. "Forgive me for being so stubborn about letting you know?" He could forgive her easily.
Cas smiled at him and took his hand in hers.
"Ivan I can forgive you anything."
He smiled at her and placed another chaste kiss upon her lips. "And I you my beloved baby girl." And another kiss followed.
She smiled up at him as he kissed her and that was followed by another one. She had been so stupid. All these years looking for love and it was right in front of her.
Ivan looked into Cas' eyes and placed a hand on each side of her face before leaning in and kissing her passionately.

Jimmy Ray was nearly bustin' at the seems t' give miss Emilia her gift. He'd done bought it fer her a while back. He was just waitin' t' give it t' her. He'd not known what a good time t' do it was. He rekkened this was the perfect time. He wasn't quite sure when her Birthday was, an' he di'n't wanna wait 'til Christmas rolled 'round again. So when he was lucky 'nuff t' get the pleasure o' her company fer the night, he was happy.
He used two hands t' pick the big ol' box up of the floor. He turned in his chair t' face her an' put the box in his lap so she could lift the lid. "Here ya go miss Emilia. Hope ya like it. Catrina looked at the pretty box as she took it from Keven. The wrapping paper was so lovely. "Aww, Kev, I wasn't expecting a gift. You're so sweet." She kissed his cheek before she began to unwrap it.
She opened the cardboard box once it was unwrapped and reached inside. Whatever was in there was tightly fit. From the feel of it the tight fit was to keep it from breaking. Then she pulled out the figurine.
She took the bubble wrap off of it and gasped. She looked back at Keven, speechless, and then back at the figurine. A tear welled up in her eye, which almost never happened with her, unless she was hurting.
She hugged the figurine to her chest with her hands. Then she leaned over and kissed Keven's lips softly. There was no tongue involved, but the kiss did linger. As she kissed him the lone teardrop rolled.
She moved back from the kiss just slightly and whispered. "Oh thank you so very, very, much Keven. It is absolutely perfect." And the gift was absolutely perfect. There wasn't any better way to describe it.
She leaned back into her chair and looked at the figurine again. "Um, it's the Venus, right? Like the statue and the painting on the ceiling of that chapel on Earth?" She would be so embarrassed if she was wrong.
She knew she had to give him something just as good. But it was definitely too late to go shopping. So later she would slip over to the Goddess and ask her for a little magic. But what could she get him?

Gwen ate her salad and smiled as she and Manny talked. He had even gotten her to try shrimp; she actually liked it. Whoever had made the salad had put a few of them on it. She watched Ivan and Cas with a smile on her face.

Emilia was having a great time the half naked eye candy roaming the room was very entertaining. She also had the company of a real cowboy for the evening. He was making her laugh with stories from the wild west on earth. After dinner she watched as Ivan pretty much took center stage in declaring his love for Cas.
She was not expecting a gift from Jimmy Ray so when he passed her a large box she smiled.
"You really shouldn't have I didn't get you anything."
She opened the box and her eyes lit up. She didn't care if her hairstyle didn't really work for a hat she placed it on her head.
"I love it thank you."
She leaned over the table and gave him a nice long kiss.
She was not expecting a gift from Jimmy Ray so when he passed her a large box she smiled.
"You really shouldn't have I didn't get you anything."
She opened the box and her eyes lit up. She didn't care if her hairstyle didn't really work for a hat she placed it on her head.

Fia actually giggled when Joseph spoke to her in Irish. At first she debated with herself about speaking in nothing but Irish the rest fo the night, which had the advantage of not many there knowing what they said. "Tu a chainneail ag caint mar sin ni feidir linn a dheanamh trid an dinnear." She gave him a kiss on the cheek, They behaved and made it through the dinner course, with a few fllirts and teases. Fia spoke sometimes in Irish and somethimes in English just to keep him on his toes.
For all her tomboyness even Fia was moved when Ivan and Cassandra confessed their love for each other. She was actually enjoying being girlie and romantic tonight. She truely enjoyed Joseph's company, she did know that tomorrow all will be back to normal but for tonight it was a nice feeling. She gave Joseph's hand a squeeze and her eyes lit up as he handed her the box. "oh Joseph you are so sweet." She carefully unwrapped the box, once the earings were exposed she began replacing the ones she had on. "oh they are beautiful," she pulled back her hair and turned her head so he could see them. "So what do you think/" Before he could answer she leaned in and kissed him passionatly, breaking the kiss to whisper in his ear " I love them and will wear them often, thank you."

Inion gave his cheek a little pinch just before sitting down and letting him push in her chair. She was so pleastantly surprised when he whispered to her in Irish that she was speechless for a moment, but his soft kiss broke that spell "Oh Shamus you are so sweet." She gave him a playfull wink. Durning dinner they talked about all kinds of things. She enjoyed the food, at one point she snuck her lobster tail from her plate to his since she didn't eat shellfish.
Since she didn't have time before dinner to give Shamus his gift so when the plates were cleared and Cassandra and Ivan had their moment she turned to retrieve the little box she had. When she turned to hand it over to him, he was handing her a beautifully wrapped box. Smiling she exchanged the boxes. In the one for him was a ring simialr to the one Fia gave Joseph only the design went all they way around. She opened her gift "Oh Shamus you are full of surprises, its beautiful, I love it thank you." She leaned over and gave him a kiss. Since she wasn't wearing a necklace, she moved her hair, "can you hlep put it on me please?" Once it was around her neck, her hair changed. The braid disappeared into losse curls falling to the middle of her back and the front was pulled back off her face with a diamond headband.

Dinner was served and Juliet chatted with Jason about school, holiday break plans and just random things. She was really excited about a concert she wanted to go to in June. She was avooiding the lobster tail only because she had never had it before. After watching Ary eat hers she decided to brave it. After a couple of clumsy attempts she managed to get a small bite.
Dinner was finished and gifts where being handed out. Juliet blushed when Jason handed hers. "Jason, you didn't have to get me so much." She opened it and actually squealed. She had fallen in love with Shakespeare's writting when she first moved in with Inion. The shelvves in Inion's library had several copies of his plays and poems. She gave Jason a big hug and a kiss. "Oh it is perfect, I love it. Thank you so very much." She fussed over the bear looking at all the cute things about it, then flipped through the book. She had one of those goofy happy grins.

She make quick work of the wrapping but lifted the figurine gently out of the box, "Ahh its lovely, thank you." She grinned at him and gave him a quick kiss, "no need for something else, I really like it." she sat it in the middle of the table and propped her chin on her hands. "they are beautiful creatures aren't they, so delicate yet so strong." she turned her head and grinned at him.

He leaned to the side a little and kissed her lightly on the lips. He then put the basket on to the table.

He just smiled as he looked at everyone having fun and taking their seats. So now it was time for him to put up the biggest piece of the party. He made appear a disco ball but not a normal one, it looked more like a heart, once it started to spin it would send out a wave of pleasure that would only be felt by the people within the ball room, but would not be felt by the people that did not want feel, but it would be expected to happen so he hoped that everyone was ready for a few of his abilities.
He looked over at Venis and smiled "Well that is one thing that I had to have custom made." He chuckled a little when his eyes light up. "Oh before I forget, I got you a little something. It will help when you need to cool off." He just smirked as he gave her the box. He smiled as she took the box and opened it. Inside there was foot long cylinder with a black cap on it with a red pull trigger with the words "Use in case of fire." He laughed at her reaction.

Tasha had gone through her gift bag before dinner. She thought all the stuff in it was so wonderful. She had given Ha'Ruil a kiss to thank him. When the smell of dinner hit her nose she smiled brightly. "Mmm, lobster" She loved sea food. And the steak smelt wonderful as well.
The dinner conversation was lovely. Everyone was quietly talking amongst themselves. It was shaping up to be a perfect evening already. And after dinner, when Ivan and Casie finally admitted to their love, she took Ha'Ruil's hand and held it in her lap. It was such a romantic moment.
When Ha'Ruil pulled out a basket for her and set it upon the table she almost cried. It was so sweet of him to get her another gift. "Oh Ha'Ruil." She knew she had to get him something good in return. She would give it to him when they got back to their room, when there was privacy.
She went through the basket, holding her stuffed puppy in her lap. Some of her favorite treats were in the basket. She was elated. "It's absolutely perfect baby, thank you." She pulled him into a very long, passionate kiss. One hand was on the side of his face, the other held her puppy.
The dinner conversation was lovely. Everyone was quietly talking amongst themselves. It was shaping up to be a perfect evening already. And after dinner, when Ivan and Casie finally admitted to their love, she took Ha'Ruil's hand and held it in her lap. It was such a romantic moment.

Venis was the first one who had noticed the disco ball. She had seen it out of the corner of her eye as she was going through her bag of goodies. She thought it was cute and was glad to know that he had gotten it custom made for the night. It was a very sweet gesture. She could feel the effects coming off of it, and she let them slide. If people got out of hand because of it, she would fix it. But she figured that most everyone in the room could handle it, or block it out. It wasn't like it was forceful.
She enjoyed a lovely dinner with Eros, and they even spoke to some of the others near their table. After dinner she saw Casie and Ivan. She chuckled as she turned to Eros. When he looked back at her, they spoke together. "It's about time." Then they shared a laugh. Venis had started to think that Eros was going to have to go old school on them and shoot them in the asses with arrows. She was rather glad that could be avoided. After all, most people wouldn't take to well to being shot by an arrow.
After Ivan and Cas shared their moment, the other men started giving their gifts to their dates. Eros gave Venis hers and she smiled as she opened it. When she saw the fire extinguisher she busted up laughing. "Only you baby." She gave him a kiss as she put the lid back on the box. But then he handed her the other gift. She opened the little blue box, and pulled out the little silver bag. She caught her breath when she saw the necklace. It wasn't big and flashy, or overly decorated. Which made it perfect.
She put the white gold chain over her neck and let the heart fall. The chain was very long, which meant she could wear it with other necklaces. She never had to take it off. She turned in her chair and wrapped her arms around Eros' neck. "It's absolutely perfect. Thank you baby." And she kissed him deeply. She knew that everyone in the room could see them, but she didn't care. It wasn't like they were doing anything more than kissing. At least not yet anyway. And they wouldn't in here either.

While the men were giving out their gifts to the women, the men who were brought over from the Keep had a chance to get dessert ready. They were loading the little boxes onto two rolling carts. One of the boxes was marked with a little silver dot on the flap.
When they wheeled the carts out into the area where the 'couples' were dining, they moved from table to table. They would set a little box in front of the lady, then the gentleman, as they moved from table to table. The one with the dot was set before Gwendolan.
Once the little boxes were opened, the dessert would be revealed. It was a chocolate cupcake with butter cream frosting on it. The little rosettes were made with icing that was thick enough to harden into shape. They were baked at the bakery within Venis' Keep.

When the cute little box was placed in front of Ali she smiled. "Wow, this night is just full of surprises, isn't it dear?" Yes, that's right, she called Tokeda dear out in public. Like the smile on her face hadn't already given away the fact that they had something going on.
Already tonight, Ali had gotten a dozen balloons, over a hundred pieces of chocolate, dozens of roses, a teddy bear, a new dress, a goody bag full of things, dinner with a handsome man, a much needed dagger that would fit nicely along her thigh, and now this.
She smiled at Tokeda as she opened the box. She knew it was a cup cake, because she could see it in the window on the side of the box. But when she opened it she smiled at the cute little rosettes. The cupcake was so pretty, she almost did not want to eat it.
She had never had a Valentine's Day like this. She was feeling a little overwhelmed. But she was having such a lovely time that she wouldn't have traded it for the world. And she was going to have to make it up to him later. Especially given she had no gift for him.

Manny was very anxious for Gwendolan to open her cupcake. After all, it was one year ago today when they met. And he wanted to make this a very special day for her. He knew she would like all the gifts, and the treats. But those were a part of everyday Valentine's treatment. He wanted to give her more. He wanted to give her something she had never had before.
And the something that he chose had a bit of a selfish motive behind it. He wanted to be with her for the rest of his life, he knew that. He loved her so much, much more than he had ever thought he could love another woman. All he wanted to do was spend the rest of his life making her the happiest woman in the universe. And there was only one way to do that.
So when Gwendolan opened her box with her cupcake in it, she would find a surprise poking up out of her rosettes. There would be a Platinum engagement ring. It held three large diamonds, Lumino set princess cut. It also had five channel set princess cut diamonds down each side. In the sides of the band were twenty small round diamonds. Thirty round ones in the setting.
If she asked Venis or Tasha, they could have told her that the total carat weight of the diamonds came to 1.00Ct. They would also tell her that they did not make the ring. Manny actually purchased the ring with his own money. That way he did it all on his own and no one could accidentally ruin the surprise. He had also purchased matching bands, but those came later.
Once Gwendolan would pick up the ring, Manny would take her hand in his. It was time to bite the bullet. He slid from his chair to one knee on the floor. "Gwendolan, I love you more than I have ever loved another woman. I never want to live another day without you in my life. Will you do an old man the honor of being my wife?" He nervously waited for her answer.
