Happy 34th Tasha (Open to party goers from the other party)

((This thread is a continuation of a thread on previous boards, so it is predated back to June 19. But it was important to finish because it is needed to make other things make sense. We will hurry through it as fast as we can so no one is trapped in the time warp for too long. Especially as we have other Birthday parties to get to as well.))

Venis stepped from the portal into the ballroom of the Inn that Shuda had told her about. He had told her that he had stayed here before and that they had a very grand ballroom on the second floor. He was right. As she looked around she couldn't help but think that this place was huge. And if this was just the ballroom, she might have to go investigate the rest of the Inn after the party.

She looked at the boxes that she brought through the portal with her and she began to decorate the ballroom as she had the Lounge back at the Tel'Ranaemyn Inn. Only this time, there was more room. Which was a good thing given there were so many guests. She watched as the others began to arrive through the portal. Her smile seemed to light the room. How could it not? Kyra was there.

Cas stepped through the portal in a lounge and came back through into a ballroom. Venis had been a bit out of sorts lately. She made a note to herself talk to her later. Today was Tasha's day tomorrow was the twins.

She looked over to Venis and smiled.

"Well V you seem to have a knack for finding beautiful places."

Em stepped through the portal into the new Inn. She looked at her surroundings and smiled. This was perfect. The ball room was huge and looked very nice the Asian theam was perfect. She was curious as to how the rest of this place looked.

"Wow, Venis this place is great. You want help with the decorations real quick?"

Gwen followed her daughter through the portal her arm linked through Manny's. She dropped his arm when they came threw and began to look at the plants. There was a huge smile on her face, she was inside and still surrounded by nature. The room was calming and beautiful.

Kyra smiled to everyone that spoke to her but before she had a chance to say anything She came in and said they were moving to another location. She followed the lead of the others and walked through the portal and looked around. It was just as pretty here as it was at the other location. She still had the box in her hand and found a seat and kept to herself for the time being and waited for others to come in to the new place.

"I'm glad I came too. Thank you and I can't wait to meet the twins."

She looked around wondering what happened that they were coming here instead but she was sure she would find out at a later.

Girls. Or really his sister. Didn't she know that playing outside in the rain often lead to catching a cold? That was something he had forgotten to mention when they were at the bar that time and she was going out to do super-secret girl stuff without him. That she would get a cold, and guess what happened? She did.

But like the good brother he was he scoffed at her when she first got a case of the sniffles and then afterward he got her tea and even those odd cucumber sandwiches that she had ordered from Madeline at the bar. They had to take care of each other and if he were the one blowing his nose until it was red and sore he was sure that she would have done the same for him. Minus the cucumber sandwiches of course.

Aunt Tasha was having a birthday party soon and he was hoping that she would have gotten better by then so they could go together. What fun was an adult party anyway? But things were not looking that way and he had second thoughts about going, only because he didn't want to leave her alone for hours in a place that he couldn't easily get too. But there was that tracker on her shoes, and he was going to have his game so he'd know where she was. When he was getting ready to leave he made sure that she was set up and comfortable and made a joke about not spewing her brains out all over the room while he was gone.

Mom had went ahead earlier and it gave him a bit of pride to know that she trusted him enough to come on his own, and unescorted. He was eleven now, not such a little boy anymore, and making his way to the party was the first 'grown-up' thing she had asked him to do. The gifts were loaded into his backpack and he left his room and made his way through the portal.

He took a look around and pulled out his portable gaming device from his pocket and turned it in. After a few seconds the map appeared in the corner of the screen and it pinpointed his location and his sisters (at least the location of that shoe...). That made him feel better and he put it back in his pocket and started towards the party.

There were a few people there already and he spotted his Mom. Now, she taught him manners and so he gave a nod as he saw the people. "Hey there," casual, but he was making his way to his Mom. He didn't know what the dress code was but she wouldn't be ashamed of him in his dark blue jeans, black shoes and earth tone stripped polo shirt.

"Hi Mom. Natalie's still hacking up a lung so she's in bed." Looking around he saw at least one other young person here. He pulled the gaming device out of his pocket again and turned his head down to look at it again and 'play' the game. "So where do I put the stuff?"

When Venis came in and said that everyone was relocating, it rather interrupted the greetings Catrina had been giving. Penelope had flown up off the little girl fairy's shoulder and had perched upon Cat's once again. she was amongst Cat's most well behaved of Pindragon's. So Cat joined the group as they passed through the portal to this new location that Venis spoke of. When she came out on the other side she was in awe of what she saw.

She looked around as Penelope had taken flight to do the same. This place was so huge and so lovely. "You outdid yourself V." With that having been said, she returned to trying to meet everyone. First she went over to the fairy woman who was with Casie. "Hi, I'm Catrina, well Cat, I'm Tasha's sister." She extended her hand and smiled at the woman. She hoped that she wasn't too shy to say hi back and maybe give a name or something.

Kyra was shy but always learned how to control her nerves with new people. Smiling to Catrina she took her hand and shook it.

"I'm Kyra...Her granddaughter."

She looked over at Venis so the woman would know who she was referring to. Not having seen her before she was curious to see if she was going to stick around. Everyone needs family at some point or other.

"It's a pleasure to meet you. Are you going to be staying for a while?

Alicia had let Cat wash up and get ready first, so she was still in the room when Venis had come knocking. When Venis told her of the change in location she said ok and went about getting ready. She tied her hair half back and put on a violet body suit under her loose fitting jeans that sat low on her hips. Then she put on a pair of high top sneakers that matched the body suit. Then she grabbed up her gift and headed out of Ha'Ruil's room and up to the third floor rather than down to the lounge. Venis had opened a portal up there that wouldn't close unless she closed it.

When she stepped free of the portal she found herself in a grand ballroom. It was in the process of decorating itself. Alicia was used to seeing magic around this group, it was no big deal. She looked around the room seeing who all was there. She was glad to see that so many people were showing up for her sister's party. This year was especially special because for a few years there was no word and they worried that she was dead. The sisters still had fences to mend and these Birthday parties helped, they seemed to be the only time they saw Tasha. She wondered if that was why Venis threw them.

As she was looking around she spotted Manny. She ran over to him to give him a hug. Manny had been like a father to the Masterson girls after their father died. Well, to her and Cat at least, Tasha handled things a bit differently. She was thrilled to see him again. Then she noticed the lovely lady in white who was near him. A girlfriend perhaps? "Hi Manny, hello ma'am. My name's Alicia, I'm the oldest Masterson girl." She offered her hand to the woman with a warm smile. But she couldn't help but think that it was good to see Manny so happy with a woman again. He definitely looked happy at least.

Like the rest at Tasha's birthday party, she to had stepped through the portal holding Andrew's hand. This place was magnificent. As she looked around, she squeezed Andrew's hand. "This place has definite possibilities."

Manny hugged Cat when she came into the Lounge and was making small talk with everyone, just like all the other employees. Kyra had shown up as well as Madeline, it was quite the turn out so far. When Venis came down and said she was relocating the party, he escorted Gwendolan through the portal.

He had not been expecting to step out into such a grand ballroom on the other side though. It was truly amazing. He released Gwendolan's hand and let her wonder about looking at all the things there were to see. He watched as DJ entered the party from another portal and saw Alicia not far behind.

He hugged Alicia back and introduced her to Gwendolan. "Alicia, this is my girlfriend, Gwendolan. Gwendolan, this is Tasha's oldest sister Alicia." Then he excused himself to go off in search of Joseph. When he found him he had a mission for him. It didn't take long to spot him, there weren't that many guests yet.

He walked over and tapped him on the shoulder. "Joseph, I have a mission for you. After Tasha cuts her cake and the cake and ice cream is served, I need you to take some back to Natalie, apparently she is still sick. Otherwise she would have come with DJ." He hoped it would help.

All the employees knew that she had gotten a cold when she went out in the rain. So it was no surprise for Manny to ask such a thing of Joseph, or anyone for that matter. "Not a problem Manny, I'll take care of it." That was all he needed to say for Manny to know that it would be done as he asked.

Isah was headed over to check on Kyra while Andrew was spending time with Maddie. Shamus and Keven had been standing there with Joseph when Manny had come up. Ivan and Jason were headed over to goof off with DJ. And William and Paul were over in the corner whispering about something.

Gwen had finished looking around and walked back over to Manny. She was holding his hand when she saw the woman walk up to him. She released his hand so he could hug her. Than she took the hand the woman offered.

"As Manny said I am Gwendolan, his girlfriend. I am pleased to meet you."

She then dropped her hand and placed her own back to her side.

Venis was thrilled with the turnout so far, and she knew that at least two more were coming, if they could drag themselves from their room that is. Everyone was so happy with the new location. But she had to give credit where credit was due. "Thank you all, but Shuda found this place, not me. He deserves your praise. And yes, Emilia, I would love some help." She pointed to a box over by the wall. "You can start there." It was full of the streamers and table cloths.

She had started in with the box of food. The pans had made it through the portal without a single spill. She was setting them up on the table and lighting them again. There were plates and utensils and cups and such to pet out as well. She was getting that all done. The drinks were all set out too. Tasha was going to be so surprised. It made Venis happy to know that Tasha would be happy. After all, even her sisters were here, how could she not be happy, right?

"Come on honey, we're running late." Seleen was brushing her hair and then she grabbed up Tasha's gift so they could go. "I'm going to run next door and check on Natalie, I saw DJ head over without her, so she must still be sick. Please be ready to go when I get back." She smiled knowing that he would be ready to go already had she not delayed them.

She headed out of the room and over to Casie's room. She went in and checked on Nat, who seemed to be doing fine. Then Seleen headed back out into the hall way. "Baby, you ready?" She waited for him and once he was with her they went through the portal. She knew he had suggested this place they were headed and she couldn't wait to see it.

When she stepped out into the ballroom she was more than impressed. "Oh honey, it's gorgeous." She walked over to set their gift for Tasha on the table and then took Shuda's hand as they walked off to mingle with the other guests. He had been right, it was more roomy and the guests were able to spread out a little better. It would be more fun this way.

He chuckled as got into his nicer clothes. He has been to the other Inn a few times in his years of life so he knew about the ball room. Actually he knew a lot about that place. He just nodded as she left the room the first time and then when she popped her head back in he was already dressed to go to Tasha's party. "Yes I am dear." And with that they went through the portal and when she said it was gorgeous he just smiled. So now they just walked around looking the room. It has not changed that much since the last time he was here.

Cat looked off in the direction that Kyra had looked in and saw Venis. Her eyebrows arched. Then she looked back at Kyra and smiled. "It's a pleasure to meet you Kyra. Which kid do you belong to?" She hoped that wasn't too personal a question. But she was curious. Last she had heard about Alex, he wasn't going to be a father for some time. Terran and Kahn's kids were too young to have a daughter her age. That left Dre and Krys.

But Kyra had a question for her too. So she figured she should answer her. "Well, I hadn't given any thought to staying. My sister Alicia and I just came out for the night. Maybe we should come back though and stay for a while. We missed a lot of time with her while she was gone and we were just getting reacquainted when she disappeared." Yes, definitely should think about that one. She'd talk to some others and see how they liked the idea, she liked it.

She saw Alicia out of the corner of her eye and smiled. "There's Ali now. Alicia, come here, there's someone you should meet." She looked over at Kyra again. "You don't mind do you?" She didn't want to presume, though she had done just that. It wasn't that she was Venis' Granddaughter that had Cat's attention, it was that she seemed like she might be a fun person to hang out with. A lot of the people Tash knew always seemed to be so ... Old.

Emilia nodded at Venis and went to the box she had indicated.

"You got it V."

She closed her eyes and the air around her became charges as her hair lifted slightly. She began moving her hands and the decorations in the box began hanging themselves.

When she finished she moved over to Iluvenis and swept her daughter up into her arms.

"What do you think of the tiny little dragon Tasha's sister has?"

Alicia heard her name and turned to see her sister beckoning for her. She smiled. "It was a pleasure Gwendolan, but if you guys will excuse me." She turned and made her way over to her sister. "Hey sis. Hello miss, I'm Alicia, you can call me Ali. I'm Tasha's oldest sister." Something she was always proud to say. She loved her sisters very much. She offered the fairy woman her hand.

Meanwhile, back at the Tel'Ranaemyn Inn ...

Tasha was noticing how quiet it was around there. She hadn't told Ha'Ruil what the day was, she figured it would go past without notice. After all, her sisters probably had no idea she was back or even alive for that matter. She had yet to track them down. And she was sure that Venis was too busy helping Seleen to remember.

So she sat at her table making jewelry. "Have you noticed how quiet it is around here today dear?" She looked up and over to where he was. She was feeling a bit hungry. "I think we should get dressed and go down to get some dinner, what do you think?" She thought that maybe they would fine everyone that way. It was just too quiet.

Before she could answer Cat her sister was standing in front of them. Kyra sat there blinking at the woman who now extended her hand before answering Cat. She could feel the nerves starting well up inside but she took several deep breathes and determined for now she was safe enough and not in a hostile environment. Taking Ali's hand she shook it and gave a smile.

"It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Kyra - Dre's daughter."

She released her hand and placed her own back in her lap still looking at both of them. Lucky for her Isah was on his way over or so it seemed. Having someone around that she knew would make her feel better.
