Loosing balance fast ... (Semi-Closed)

Venis arrived in New Haven instantly. She stepped from the portal sheathed in a green, strapless mini dress that fit her like it was painted on. The six inch suede stiletto heels upon her feet were the exact matching shade of green. She was six foot eight, being six two in her stalking feet, of muscle bound anger ... With a hell of a lot of power to wield. To says he was dangerous would be a severe understatement.
As she stalked the streets of New Haven, she was tasting everything. Every possible brush of power that made a ripple in the air around her was tested. She was searching. Searching for a being that was powerful enough to trap her within her own Keep. She normally would have run straight to her friends and family. But they were no longer in danger, therefore they were no longer in need of her. And besides, she had called upon a power that wasn't hers. It was tipping her inner scales and she was a little more interested in vengeance than she was in saving people.

~~David walked out of the bar, not quite intoxicated yet, but feeling a little tipsy. He was talking to his buddy on the phone when he saw the hot red-head dressed in green. "Yea, dude, gotta go. You would not believe the Ginger I am seeing right now. Yea, yea, I'll zap you a pic. Yea man, bye." The call was ended and he snapped a pic of the red-head and sent it to his buddy.
He started walking over to the woman, and his phone made noise. He flipped it open and saw a message from his buddy. He referred to her as 'fu(/ me hawt'. David chuckled and flipped his phone closed. He walked towards the woman he had been talking to his buddy about.
When he came to stand just off to her side he spoke to her. "Hey sexy mamma, wanna walk me home?" He had no idea who or what he was talking to, he only knew he wanted a piece of her pie. And the way she was dressed, pie was on the menu. He had to look up to her as she was taller than his five feet and ten inches. But it was all good.~~

Venis turned her head to look at the little disruption to her concentration. She shook her head at him as she approached him. "My pie is not on the menu tonight." Yes, she had invaded his thoughts and read his mind.
She stopped her advancement approximately six inches away from him. Now she was invading all his personal space. "But you are." Then she grabbed the man's hair and yanked his head to the side. No warning, no mind tricks.
Venis sank fang into the man. She drank and drank from his neck. His blood wasn't very alcohol ridden. It would have been worse had he stuck around at the bar he had left. But he chose to come outside, and then talked to her. And for that, he would now die.
She drank from the man, feeling his pulse weaken. She drank and drank, like people who frequented bars drank alcohol. After a few minutes, she let his limp body fall to the road under their feet. It took more than two drops of blood to make the heart beat. And two drops was all Venis had left him.

Cali came up on the scene as the body was falling to the ground in a lifeless heap. The guard had become a little short handed as of late, so occasionally, someone patrolled alone. How unfortunate for Cali, tonight she was solo.
"Hey, you. Stop right there." She shouted out to the tall woman who was walking away from the body. "Hey, I'm talking to you red. We have rules around here about feeding from humans." She was jogging to catch up with the woman. No fear. ~~~

Venis turned and looked at the female officer of the guard that was approaching her. She knew right from wrong, she just cared a little less about it at the moment. But the little bit of her that was still fighting for the good guys Knew that she couldn't just kill the guard.
She shook her head and snapped her fingers. A burst of flames shot from her hand. She threw the fire at the officer
and it landed at her feet. But fret not, Venis did not miss. The fire spread in a circle around the guard like it had been following an accelerator trail.
"No, you stop." Words spoken as the woman became entrapped in the circle of flames. The flames would die down eventually. The woman would be just fine. Venis had managed to keep herself in check at least that much.
Venis turned and walked on at her previous pace. She returned to searching the feel of the powers around her. She knew that the being had to be somewhere. The question was where. She hadn't traveled ten feet when some guy came running up to her. He looked to be another guard. They were a hassle tonight.
The guy got in front of her and held up his hand to stop her. She side stepped him and continued on her path. But he stepped to the side again. She moved back to the side so that she was again on her exact previous path. For a third time, he stepped in front of her.
To say this was getting irritating would be an understatement. She sighed and reached up to put one hand on the back of the man's head. Her other hand went to his chin. With a twist and a tilt, she broke his neck and popped his head off. No words, just killed him where he stood.
She dropped his head to the ground next to his fallen body and continued on her path. A woman screamed and she reached a hand out to her side. She closed her fingers to her thumb making her hand look like a duck bill. The woman's screams were muted instantly. Venis kept walking.

A woman who had been out for a stroll had witnessed the events unfolding. She hadn't spoken, she hadn't screamed, she had just watched. She was a rarity in The Church of the Protective Flame, she knew what kind of Goddess she worshiped. She knew he deity was a killer, a vampire. But this ... This was not like her.
She walked over to where she would intercept the Goddess. But she was sure to keep her distance. "Goddess, what is wrong? You don't seem yourself." She spoke in a soft, almost fragile, voice. She was so confused, and a little worried for her safety. Which shouldn't have been the case. Venis Jordianthan was the Goddess of Protection, not the Goddess of cold blooded murder.

Venis stopped in her tracks. If this one knew her as Goddess, than that only meant one thing. She was a flamer. A flamer was the word Venis used for those who worshiped her at The Church of the Protective Flame. If this woman wasn't a flamer than Venis would be shocked.
She sighed as she listened to the woman. She shook her head, she was getting so annoyed. "I am fine, never better. I just need to find something, and it is pissing me off that I can't find it. So go to church and pray that I find what I am looking for and don't choose to burn down all the Churches of the Protective Flame's while I'm at it." Then she walked away from the woman.

Fiona was in shock. She was so thrilled that her Goddess actually spoke to her. And even happier that she had not killed her, given the mood she was apparently in. But she was a little upset that the Goddess spoke of possibly burning down her own churches.
She did the only thing she could do. As tears began to quietly stream down her face she spoke to her Goddess once again. "Yes ma'am." And then she turned and ran from the area. She was going to do as she had been told to do. She was headed to church. Though, she wasn't exactly sure who she was supposed to pray to for the success of a Goddess. But she would figure it out.

Venis heard the woman say yes ma'am. And then she heard the woman scurry away. Venis felt the tears that were streaming down her face. Oh what a curse. And this was taking forever with all these interruptions. So Venis chose to do the only thing she could think to do. She went non-corporeal.
Venis, now not able to be seen unless she chose for someone to see her, made much better time around New Haven. She searched shops, and bars, houses and various other buildings. Without a body, and with no one seeing her, she could search so much more effectively.
But all the searching was to no avail. It seemed that the being that had trapped her was no within New Haven. Or in any area's around it. She had even searched Inn's on the outskirts of town, the caves, the Eastern Forrest. Everywhere. There was nothing in the area that held enough power. And now, the sun was rising. Venis could safely travel in the sun light. But she usually chose not to. So she slit a portal into the air. She stepped through the portal into parts unknown, and the portal sealed with a stream of flames.
Now Venis was in another realm all together. And here, the sun had just set. Venis came upon a village. The village had a wizard within it. Most of the beings within this village seemed to be nocturnal. Venis demanded they bring her their wizard. Everyone she spoke to refused. She had become corporeal once again. So the more she was refused her request, the hotter she got, literally.
It only took an hour of refusals before she got too hot under the collar for them. She picked a building with a thatch roof. When they refused her, she set the building ablaze. And with each refusal that followed, another building went up in flames. And with each burning building, the evil got stronger. With every death, the evil grew.
The wizard finally came out. He was not the one. But Venis was so pissed at this point, that she killed him anyway. In the end, she simply destroyed the entire village and everyone within it. Not even a single little child was left alive. The entire place was nothing but smoldering piles of ash. And Venis was just getting started. She continued her search.
