“Manny Costas ... He can get you anything you need. ....Whatever you need.”

Those words from Keven repeated over in ‘Ellisande’s’ head as she ran from the hot springs. She kept going until she had reached her room. Quickly entering she closed the door behind her and sat down against it, the rolled up clothes deposited on the floor and her knees drawn to her chest. 'Ellisande's' head was hurting her more now than it had earlier. All the information she had received was welling up in a small space inside her head, trying to get out. She shut her eyes tightly against it.

“Why can't I remember?” 'Ellisande' said, putting her head down on the upraised knees and pressing her hands against her head. “If that's who I am, I should remember!” Frustration was setting in, and if she had something to throw it would have been flung across the room.

'Ellisande' took a few breaths with her head down and closed her eyes.

“Manny Costas ... He can get you anything you need. ....Whatever you need.”

That was it, Manny. She would go to see this man, whom Keven had said, could get her anything. He was in the employ of a Goddess so it wasn't hard to believe that the word were true. He also may think that she was De'Ryanna. “I can be her,” 'Ellisande' decided as she was infused with an idea. When he had been asked, Keven had supplied her with some information about De'Ryanna, her attitude, and it was something that 'Ellisande' thought she could replicate. “After all, I did spend years as a Lady-in-waiting in my foster fathers palace, she ca---.” What she had said put her in awe. 'Ellisande' had remembered something else - a foster father - but not a name to go with it. Could that person be Gawain Cauthon? Lord Gawain Cauthon, the man Keven had mentioned? It would make sense, being adopted, because this De'Ryanna had a different last name.

It was logical.

Even as she thought it over, the pieces that she had put together fit, but they felt wrong.

Rising to her feet 'Ellisande' smoothed back her damp hair and adjusted the cloak on her shoulders. She was going to see Manny and request for cloth, needle and thread. Nothing in her current memory suggested that she was a seamstress but she knew enough basic cut and stitch to produce something adequate. Her own clothes probably were not worth salvaging, but that was to be seen.

“Okay, here I go.” 'Ellisande' said to herself as she opened her door and stepped out once again.

The floor was slightly cool under 'Ellisande's' feet as she headed to room 403 and she internally scolded herself at forgetting her shoes. If she went back for them Keven may still be there and have questions about why she ran out of there so fast, an answer she didn't have at the moment. It was not all bad for 'Ellisande' liked the feel of earthen material against her skin, made her feel stronger. Thankfully the cloak was long enough to give some coverage of her feet.

She held her head up, shoulder back and posture straight as she went about in the dancers gait - that glide of a walk was as natural to her as breathing. 'Ellisande' was still able to keep the cloak closed enough so she wouldn't flash anyone around with her naked form. When she reached room 403 'Ellisande' knocked and waited for a reply.

.... Opportunity knocks.

.... It is always a good idea to answer its call, never know when it will be back or what was the offering.

.... The one who had been signed into the StarryMyst Inn's ledger as Nameless -or Anonymous, as was written- had not been seen around much, but he was there. No need in making a production out of your coming and goings when it has hitherto been uncertain. Every week a gold coin had been placed at the desk to pay room and board for he and his horse, therefore he believed that any doings of his were unimportant.

.... On this particular day he had been idling around various parts of the inn and happened to be near the springs. When the young lady ran away from there in an apparent hurry that was when he saw opportunity. By way if habit and trade -and a fair nod to one of the rings on his fingers- blending in with his surroundings wasn't hard. Keep quiet, go slowly, don't draw attention, quite simple and anyone could do it with minimal success. It helped, of course, that this young lady was on a single-thought focus that she paid not much attention to everything else.

.... Staying far enough away did not allow for him to know exactly which room she took her retreat, but she had travelled up to the third floor. How fortuitous for his quarters were also here, room 320. They were neighbors, of a sort. Unsure of whether or not the young lady was going to stay inside of her room or come out, the man wandered to his own door and pushed it open. He leaned against the threshold; and arms crossed over the lose fitting copper muslin fabric shirt, is where he would wait. He didn't have anything else to do and, as was his first thought, he saw opportunity. It was a pretty decent view of the rest of the hallway and he would at least be able to hear when another left their room and headed away. This was how she knew she had left her room.

.... She was moving away and back towards the stairs, so he waited until the distance to follow was sufficient. He was curious when he saw her get off at the fourth floor, and he stayed in the stairwell until he saw her stop. Opportunity looked good, even if he was unsure of the results of the encounter.

.... He counted silently to ten before leaving the stairwell and strolling over to room 403. He approached her with a smile, standing besides her and not saying anything, and stood there waiting at the door.

To Room #403 {Open} Empty Re: To Room #403 {Open}

Post by Manny Costas Tue Feb 05, 2013 4:31 am

*Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang.* Ten knocks in rapid succession. According to code, this knock meant that the matter was important, and required immediate attention, but was not a life or death emergency. And this sound is what woke Manny from a sound sleep.

Sliding from his bed, careful not to wake his lovely fiance, he dawned a pair of sweat pants and a T-Shirt and headed for the door. Yawning as he reached for the door handle, he gave it a turn and began to pull it open before even looking to see who it was.
"Keven ...?" Manny Rubbed his eyes as he yawned again

He swung the door wider and stepped back to allow the young man entry.
"What's going on? What's wrong?" He rubbed his eyes as he closed the door softly, once Keven was inside of course. He waved a hand to the seating area so they could sit down. He was beginning to think to himself that he was getting too old for this.

Both Keven and Manny went to sit down and Keven began. "Something is wrong with De'Ryanna. Miss Aybara. She's ... She's here, and she's ... She's off somehow. The shoes, the clothes, or lack of clothes. In the water." Keven was confused, and a little louder than he should be, and was stumbling over his thoughts incoherently. He wasn't sure if he was even making any sense.

Manny furrowed his brows and rose to go make some coffee.
"Slow down Kev. And don't wake Gwen. She might be an angel, but if you wake her I'll skin you alive." He chuckled at the idol threat as he started making coffee. He was never more thankful for coffee than he was at this moment. He got down two cups as he waited for Keven to begin again.

Keven took a deep breath and swallowed before he continued. "Ok, I was in the hot springs. I heard someone. It turned out to be De'Ryanna Aybara. I have no idea why she's here. But she seemed like she didn't know who she was." He took another breath as he was starting to rattle again.

Manny listened as he put the sugar cube in Keven's cup. He yawned again, not seeing how this was something urgent.
"And why is this an emergency?" The coffee was starting to fill the room with it's rich aroma. He went to close his bedroom door the rest of the way so it wouldn't wake Gwen.

Keven blew out an exasperated breath and continued. "Ok, so she was like at the Hot Springs, naked of course, and we started talking. Damn she has a nice body." He couldn't help but grin at the memory of seeing her in all her glory as she had squatted by the divider. He was quiet for a moment as he reminisced.

This, of course, earned him a scowl from Manny as he moved to pour the coffee. He cleared his throat.
"Ahem. Go on." It was a bad idea for Keven to dwell on seeing De'Ryanna naked. Too many could read thoughts, and if he were to get caught thinking about it by the wrong person ...

Keven had the decency to blush. "Sorry. Anyway, so we were talking, and she seemed like she had no idea who she was. Manny, I think she's been hurt or something. It's like she has some type of amnesia." He wasn't sure what other explanation there could be.

Manny brought the two coffee cups into the sitting area and handed one to Keven.
"And what exactly makes this an emergency?" The way Manny saw it, this could all wait until the next day, or later in the day as it were. He saw no need to the coded knock, or the visit.

Keven sat the shoes he had grabbed up onto the table. "She looks like she's been living in a gutter for a month. And I think she needs her clothes laundered and maybe some protection. I'm not sure, but when I asked if she had been hurt, it seemed to make her worry. Like she suddenly didn't feel safe." He took a drink of the coffee and then raised his mug in thanks.

Manny yawned again then took a drink of his coffee.
"Still not seeing why this couldn't wait until later. When people were actually awake." Manny was not a middle of the night, but crack of dawn, morning person. He liked to sleep during what was considered 'normal sleeping times'. He looked at the shoes. They did look a little worse for wear.

Keven sighed. Obviously, he would have to spell it out for the old man. His brain seemed to still be asleep "What if our wicked witch were to come back, still in her pissy mood, to find Miss Aybara like she is? Do you not think that it might set her off? Or if her dad were to happen along?" He understood the ramifications of either possibility, and they were ugly.

The light switch flipped in Manny's brain and the little light came on. It was still as bright as it had been when he was Keven's age, it just took some coaxing to flip the switch sometimes.
"Sshhhhittttt." Manny didn't cuss often. But this was definitely a time that it was warranted. He shook his head and took another drink of his coffee.

Keven smiled as he took another drink of his coffee. "Exactly. She's staying under the name of Ellisande on the third floor." He took another drink. "Oh, and I told her that if she needed anything she needed to come to you." That made him smile because he knew he had done the right thing in that. Both her parents and the wicked witch would approve.

Manny nodded approvingly. Keven was right to send her to him. That wayhe could keep an eye on her. Manny knew he was trusted by both her parents and his boss.
"That was a good idea Kev. It was good that you sent her to me." Manny took another drink of coffee. He was just about to excuse Keven when there was another knock at the door.

This knock was soft and there was no order to the number, it wasn't code. The person knocking either didn't know the code or forgot it. Did De'Ryanna know the code? Manny didn't remember if he had ever taught it to her or not. But he rose up to answer the door anyway. He didn't want them to knock again, louder the second time, and wake Gwen.

He left the coffee cup on the table as he moved to the door. He pulled it open, again without peeking, and smiled.
"Hello ..." Confusion set in instantly. He had kind of figured that it was De'Ryanna. But he was caught off guard by the man with her. He had seen him about on rare occasion. And the man's food was delivered regularly, his horse cared for, just like every other guest. But there had never really been any interaction with him.

Manny stepped back and opened the door wider for them to both enter. Keven stood as there was a lady entering the room and he was a gentleman. Manny waited for them to enter before offering them a seat with the movement of his hand.
"We were just having some coffee. Could I get either of you a cup, or something else?" He would offer refreshments of course, after all, he and Keven were already enjoying a cup of coffee.

Gwen was awake. They were quiet but she was an elf after all. She had excellent hearing. She knew it was Keven in the other room with Manny. She figured it was work and was about to go back to sleep when she heard the second knock. Something may be wrong or perhaps they had found Venis.

Gwen got up from the bed and began to dress quickly. She donned one of her white robes; this one was simple but still made of a fine linen. She did not bother to put a brush to her hair; if they had found Venis than she wanted to know. If something was wrong perhaps she would be able to help.

She was barefoot as always as she walked from the bedroom into the front room. She smiled at the people just entering the room. She was not sure what both of them being here meant but Miss Aybara may have news of Venis. She was after all family.

"Hello Miss Aybara; it is nice to see you again."

It had been a while and she had only seen the woman a few times and could not remember ever having talked with her but she knew who she was. As for the man she did not know his name but she spoke to him as well.

"Hello Sir."

She moved to stand next to Manny and slid her hand into his.

"Is anything wrong that I can help with or do you bring news of Venis?"

She was hoping that Miss Aybara had news it would make things less hectic for Manny. There was a lot waiting on her to be found or return. Things that could not move forward until that time. Also she was missed by the people who loved her. Gwen was among those that missed her.

To Room #403 {Open} Empty Re: To Room #403 {Open}

Post by Ryanna Fri Feb 08, 2013 11:31 am

'Ellisande' was a little surprised to hear the sounds of more than one person coming from inside room 403. From what she could hear, they both sounded masculine - at least she wasn't waking anyone from sleep. Since she was focusing on the sounds inside, trying to determine if her knock was heard, that she didn't pay attention to the hallway. Imagine her surprise when she realized that someone was standing next to her! Brown eyes wide in shock and body tense, 'Ellisande' blinked a couple times and then looked away, back to the door, trying to ignore that he was there. However, it was awfully hard to ignore someones presence when there was about a hands width of space between.

She was suddenly frazzled and irritated and worked to not let it be seen so clearly upon her face. There was a very hard set to her jaw as she focused her gaze solely on the door and tried to figure out what to do. She had never seen this person before, but maybe they knew De'Ryanna, just as Keven had and, if she were going to pretend to be that girl then to ask this man who he was and what he wanted would only ruin her ruse. He had to know her, why else would he have come up to her and said nothing? The guy could work for the goddess, or her father, and as both were important people he could have been sent to keep an eye on her. It wasn't uncommon for guards to stay silent. Back home they only spoke when spoken too; this could be the case. This thought did nothing to calm her nerves but only rile them up further.

It couldn't simply be a coincidence that they knew this De'Ryanna was here, he would have had to be told. No one knew she was here but the Innkeeper and Keven. 'Ellisande' was not prepared to pull off this role to the degree the situation called for!

To her mind the door was taking forever to be answered (really, it wasn't but, as whenever you have to wait, time can crawl) and she had to think of something else to ease the mind. Unfortunately, where it went wasn't any better. This guy was standing awfully close to 'Ellisande' and that may suggest familiarity. Surely she would remember that if the two had any engagement.

Thankfully, before 'Ellisande's' mind could dwell further on that topic, the door opened and she attached a smile to her lips. Not overly big, a simple one that was polite. For now she would ignore the silent man - Keven had said that some thought De'Ryanna was cold, so it wouldn't be out of place for her to ignore a person. As soon as she saw the one who opened the door she realized that she had no idea what Manny looked like but logically assumed that this man was he - it was his room.

"Manny,” 'Ellisande' said with confidence as she walked in through the open door, hair still damp and uncombed and cloak securely closed.

Once inside ‘Ellisande’ saw the others, one of whom was Keven and a lady she did not know. Yes, this person had to be Manny. She went far enough into the room to as she thought was needed, though not to far from the door. The smell of the coffee made her nose twitch for a moment.

The lady had addressed her as Miss Aybara which gave her confidence that her ruse was working, she didn’t even falter in answering the question she was asked. “I have no news of Venis.” It was the truth, whether she was suppose to have the news or not, she didn’t.

‘Ellisande’ watched the lady attached hands with Manny and assessed that they were together. She cleared her throat before looking Manny in the eyes as she spoke so it was clear who she was addressing. “I’d like to procure simple fabric, a pair of sheers, and some thread. If there are any of these around that are not needed, may you direct me to where they can be acquired?” Straight forward and to the point, she didn’t bother in mincing words, nor did she acknowledge the desire for coffee as she didn’t want any.

‘Ellisande’ didn’t like having to state what she needed in the presence of that strange man as she wanted her business to be her own, but it couldn’t really be helped as she didn’t tell him not to follow. She kept her posture and eye contact, being sure in what she wanted it was this confidence and assurance she held on to in order to mask any insecurity she felt with this role of the other person.

To Room #403 {Open} Empty Re: To Room #403 {Open}

Post by RusDring Fri Feb 08, 2013 10:52 pm

.... It could have been worse

He could have stood next to her and stared. There were a few things more irritating then blatantly being stared at, especially when the culprit was standing next to you. he was not in the mood to play on that level of irritation and therefore stayed his attention at the door. He could, however, feel her irritation, it radiated off of her like a beacon and was evident in how her body tensed. Internally he grinned and it only made this Opportunity that much more pleasing.

.... It's man had self control

He wasn't bothered with trying to steal any glances at her, he had watched her already. There was the question of what he was going to do when the door opened, but usually things took care of themselves. People would find that they could be privy to a lot of things if they simply went with the flow and kept their mouths shut. This is what he did, even when the door opened.

.... So Opportunity had come to see a man.

By her actions outside of the door she surely didn't have relations with this man - whom she called Manny- the exchanged greeting spoke of civil friends, not lovers. He stayed a moment to allow Opportunity to enter first before he followed. He didn't pass by Opportunity (pun intended), nor did he crowd her by standing as close as he had been outside the door. He stood with his feet shoulder width apart and arms held down, the right hand holding the left wrist. An on-point defensive guardian position in some parts of the universe it was called, and he was sure to not block the door. He did not need them thinking he aimed to trap them inside.

.... He surveyed the room.

Opportunity was called Miss Aybara by the other lady in the room, good information. He didn't know the names of the others, but was sure either he would find out, or it wasn't important. As it were, he stayed silent to the offer of coffee and listed to Opportunity state her request. What did she need those items for, he wondered. Having seen her running from the springs he knew she was without shoes, but that couldn't be all for that, and why not simply buy a new pair? Curious. For anyone in the room who may have the ability to feel, or sense, magic, it would be found on this man or rather on his right hand.

For now he would continue to silently stand.

To Room #403 {Open} Empty Re: To Room #403 {Open}

Post by Manny Costas Sun Feb 10, 2013 3:11 am

Manny's inner papa bear was growling ...

~Shit, we woke Gwen.~ The thought crossed Manny's mind the moment he heard her soft, gentle voice. He was human, so he didn't hear her slip out of bed. He almost winced when she spoke De'Ryanna's name aloud. And when he felt her hand slip into his, he gave it a gentle squeeze in an effort to quiet her. But it was too late. She mentioned Venis as well. Manny wanted to sigh, but he held his place. Not even so much as a twitch of his features to give away his thoughts.

He walked hand in hand with Gwen over to the seating area and leaned against the arm of the chair Keven was sitting in. He heard De'Ryanna's answer to Gwen's question and he felt a tinge in his heart. He hadn't given it any previous thought, but she could have been here under an assumed name because she had to hide from someone in order to protect Venis or something. In Rhy'Din, anything was possible. Even De'Ryanna helping someone she really, truly, did not like.

When he heard her request he felt a wave of relief wash over him. She was speaking like the De'Ryanna he knew. All business. Right to the point. This gave him hope.
"Of course. That is not a problem at all." He smiled as he rose from the arm of the chair, releasing Gwen's hand as he did. He moved over to the desk against the wall as he continued. He moved slow in order to remain quiet. He was listening for anyone in the room to move.

"Why don't you have a seat. I know just where to get you what you need. It will only take a few minutes." He reached the desk and pulled out the center drawer. He procured a key from a box within the drawer and returned to Gwen's side. "Honey, can the two of you head up to V's room and get the one by two chest that is in the bottom of the closet in the spare room? It's all the way to the left on the floor." He handed her the key with a gentle smile.

He shot Keven a look that said volumes. It was clear that Manny wanted Keven to guard Gwen, and that key she held, with his life.
"Also, in the grey tote under her bed, there should be some ballet slipper type shoes and some leather sandals. She has never worn any of them, so she won't mind if you grab a pair of each and bring them as well. If you don't mind please?" He was still all smiles as he waited for them to leave.

Keven rose from his seat, noticing Manny's look and his tone. He also noticed that Manny did not say any names. Gwen had already said De'Ryanna's last name out loud. Keven knew Manny was suspicious of something, and he figured it was this stranger who had just imposed himself silently into the situation. He held out a crooked arm to Gwen as he waited for her to join him so they could leave.

He expected De'Ryanna to either take him up on his invitation to sit, or to just be her usual stubborn self and continue to stand there when she didn't need to.
"They'll be back with that chest in a few minutes ... Miss Aybara." Not wanting to give out any more information that had already been given, he turned his attention to the silent man. "And you young man? What can I do for you at this very late hour?" He looked very pleasant, jolly even, as he awaited the man's response. Even though deep down inside, his inner papa bear was growling at this man.

"Are they all Venis' things?" 'Ellisande' asked quickly after she heard what Manny had said and saw that Keven was about to head out with the other lady. She spoke up hoping to catch them before both members of the pair left the room. It did not occur to her that Manny may have been neglecting to use names due to the male who had followed her in. She didn’t know that he wasn’t known to them, therefore she didn’t suspect anything was wrong even if he did call him ‘young man’.

‘Ellisande’ looked over the people in the room and was suddenly struck with the realization that she was asking for charity. This thought made her wrinkle up her and even stand up a bit straighter - if that were even possible.

“Fabrics, simple fabrics and supplies. They need not be anything of worth and I will pay back the things I have used,” ‘Ellisande’ said quickly, perhaps to quickly. She did not want them to think that she was a beggar despite the current reality of the situation. ‘Ellisande’ was seeking to maintain her ruse of being De’Ryanna and may have fumbled.

She cleared her throat ever so slightly as she felt a tinge of nerves creeping into her body. They are all looking at me. They may suspect I’m not her. Sit. Stand. What would she do? Surely I can’t sit and keep covered as I am. ‘Ellisande’ came to a decision and squared back her shoulders, reigning in her nerves. “I choose to stand, thank you.” That had to be the best decision. Besides, she wasn’t too far from the door and could flee if the situation warranted. She was starting to feel like a caged wolf and her

.... This looked suspicious

Seeing the various looks and listening to the unspoken words that were being passed between the people in the room, something didn’t feel quiet right. It was the all to familiar scenario of people who had something to hide. Though, when it came down to it, didn’t everyone? Even Opportunity was more jumpy now than she had been when he was standing uncomfortably close to her outside the door.

.... Could it be she didn’t know this man

If that were the case, why would she visit the room? The things that she asked for could have been gotten at market if she could afford it. The last thing she had said, before her nerves set in, suggested she didn’t have any coin for she didn’t seem like the lazy sort. Why would she come to this man? Who was he to her? Whatever the answer may be it wouldn't do for Opportunity to get away from him, therefore he stepped closer to her and gave a casual shrug of his shoulders.

.... Did she say Venis

He knew that name - if it was the same Venis. A while back he had followed rumors and tracked her down to a location in town. She had said that she was trapped there; he had even offered to be of assistance in helping her escape. He also knew that people here at least knew of the Goddess, but this new bit of information implied that they worked for her. The old man, not this girl.

.... Information he tucked away

"As you said so yourself, the hour is late. A proper lady wouldn’t enter a mans room alone at night, less she besmirch her good name.” he smiled and motioned to Ellisande who was just in front of him. He brushed his fingers under his chin, those rings out and on display. “We all would agree that Miss Aybara is, indeed, a proper lady.”

Hopefully that would be enough for the old man, even if these intentions were still rather vague.

“As she’s declined the coffee, so will I.” Much rather keep his hands free.

((Alright, I waited as long as I could Ang. You know I go crazy when I can't write. It's been too long already. So I'm just going to post that Gwen and Keven left and you can jump back in later if you want to and post that they brought back the trunk and shoes.))

Manny smiled at De'Ryanna, despite her speaking Venis' name in front of strangers. "More like community property. Her followers give her gifts or leave them for her on alters at the churches. She has no use for so many of the gifts she gets that she shares them with everyone who could use them. Like her family." He hoped that she wouldn't be angry over being offered those things, given where they were coming from. Not all of her family knew about the gifts from the churches and the followers, so telling her about them wouldn't have been over-sharing.

Manny shook his head in regards to her paying them back for what she used.
"There's really no need to pay back anything. If you were to give back similar items then they too would just go into the trunk for someone else to use. And there's probably fifty or so more trunks filled the same way. There really is too much to be used. And you're welcome to any of it. You really should go out to the Keep more often and see how much stuff there is now. You're as entitled to it as any other family member." He meant it too. Even the expensive and thicker fabrics. Someone needed to use them. And he meant it about the Keep as well. She could go out there and have a free shopping spree if she so chose.

He gave a small nod to her when she chose to stand. That was typical of the De'Ryanna he knew. He gave Keven a glance as he exited the room with Gwen. The look was to ask how the young man could have thought that she was acting not like herself if she was very much acting like herself at that moment. Manny seemed to think that whatever Keven saw at the Hot Springs had to have been a figment of his imagination.

Manny returned his attention to the young man who was standing before him.
"Well, I take it that you know the young lady since you seem to be offering her escort." He gave the slightest arch to his right eyebrow. "But if that were true, than you would know that she is amongst family here. Therefor she would not be in need of an escort." The left eyebrow rose to match the right.

A slow blink preceded his next remark in reply to the young man.
"Oh yes, she is very much a proper lady. Which is why I do not trust strange men imposing themselves upon her or standing at her side needlessly. She is safe, and unless you are her suitor, than I don't see why you felt the need to escort her into the private chambers of her family members." He managed to keep the smug look from his face. He knew the man was not seeing De'Ryanna.

He hoped that De'Ryanna wouldn't call his bluff about their being family. After all, Manny was as close to being Venis' family as she was. And that was pretty damned close. Venis looked at both of them as family and that was good enough for him. He knew that De'Ryanna was to be taken care of and kept safe as if she were Venis' own blood. And Venis trusted Manny to do exactly that.

He gave the young man a slight nod when he declined the coffee.
"Well, since I can't interest you in coffee, and you're not Miss Aybara's suitor, is there anything else I can do for you before you go?" He put both hands behind his back to resist the urge to throw the man out on his ear. It wouldn't do to treat guests with such a lack of manners. Even if he couldn't help the way his papa bear instincts were screaming at him.

'Ellisande' may not have been to keen on many things at the moment, but it was clear to her that the two men in the room with her were having way she would describe as a tiff. She had been around enough people that spoke in underlaying tones not to recognize what was going on here and she took half a step to the side so she could better watch. Doing so struck at a memory, while she still did not remember either one of them, she did recall a large hall - it was a bit fuzzy - but it was a location. For a moment her expression was aloft as she tried to bring the memory into focus, what brought her back was the tension between the males. She could almost smell it.

Her memory was coming back in small bits and pieces, though it was helped by stress, or when she was over thinking. The last thing she wanted was to be put in a situation that she was unsure how to handle as De’Ryanna - the person she was pretending to be - while around people that knew her. Did she have much of a choice? Possibly, but she was thinking of her current situation of stress which happened to the in this room, with two males that didn’t care to much for each other.

"Company," 'Ellisande' said softly, "he's keeping me company." It wasn't exactly a lie she was keeping her company - even if it wasn't asked for. There had to be more than that to be said for Manny to believe her and she racked her brain to think of something. Chewing on her lip as she tried to pushed down the nerves, it was fortunate that she wasn't fidgeting. Perhaps of she gave him a name, though that was risky in itself. What if they knew that wasn't his name, what was she do do then? 'Ellisande' had to risk it, she could not simply call him 'Sir'. "Isn't that right, Daniel?" She looked over at the man she had just given a name and fixed him with a rather pointed stare that she held for a moment before turning away.

'Ellisande' cleared her throat and looked back to Manny. "Besides, I need someone to carry the items. It would be unseemly to, to ask you and...Keven to do that as well." The pause and falter in her words came from nerves and having slightly forgotten the name of the man she met in the springs. Keven, that was his name, though another had come to mind.

For right now she was doing her best to stand still and keep the cloak she wore closed. She felt fatigue starting to creep in, but it would have to wait. This facade had to go on a little longer.

......There was an smirk on his face

that tethered on the edge of being coy, at another time it would have made him laugh out loud. Just because he wasn't doing so on the outside, didn't mean it wasn't being done. Though, if the roles were reversed, and the old man had come into his room in the middle of the night following a young girl, he would have been suspicious as well. That could be what he saw as funny. It was almost ironic - both wanted to help Opportunity and neither wanted the other to be involved. Being here was good for information and he absorbed it all.

...... Fortunately he wasn't a thief

He didn't have much care about going after the wealth of things that Venis' followers had given her. His interest rested in the talk of family. It wasn’t family in the natural sense, but more like people who look out for each other. If this was the case, and she was part of their family, why was she so tense?

“A bit over reaching, isn’t it, to say that a person is safe with their family,” spoken quietly, but it was pointed and directed to Manny.

...... Speaking from experiences

There were also things that he has seen in his travels. While most of the time family could be a persons best bet, they could also be the best enemies. He hasn’t decoded which ones these were to his Opportunity, but he certain;y wasn’t going to simply leave.

...... Now he was ‘company’

She had given him the name of Daniel, and he was expected to carry like a pack mule. Right. Hopefully what she would take back with her was not overly large or heavy, anyone looking at him, with his lanky built, would scoff at the thought of him being able to carry any significant weight around. While looks can be deceiving, this man was not going to win at any weight lifting competitions.

She could have picked a better name than ‘Daniel’. Still, he gave her a smile at the question. “That’s right, Miss Aybara. I’m here for you.” He looked to Manny, “Thank you, but I’m here with her.”

Manny noticed De'Ryanna's apprehension, and he was sure that the young man was picking up on it too, as it was plain upon her face and in her body language. But she spun a tale to keep the young man from having to go. Which seemed a little odd from Manny's point of view, as De'Ryanna was never one for outsiders being anywhere near her personal space, let alone escorting her anywhere.

He looked at her with that same personable smile upon his face.
"Company huh?" He eyed the young man as he spoke. It was most likely clear from his tone that he did not trust her words at that moment. But he would not make a scene about it. Perhaps she had plans of dealing with him on her own later. But when she said he would be her pack mule, Manny's eyes glittered with amusement as his smile tilted a little higher.

He spared a glace to the young man, who De'Ryanna had declared to be Daniel, but his words were for her.
"You always seem to worry about the silliest things. We would be more than happy to take the trunk to your room. I honestly don't understand why you always seem so nervous when you need to ask a favor of us. We would never turn you away or refuse you aide." He turned back to look at her as he was speaking to her.

Manny let it appear that he was accepting their explanation that this Daniel, if that were his real name and not just some name he gave her, was just keeping her company in the middle of the night and was going to help her carry things back to her room. But he honestly was not trusting this young man.

He returned to the man's comment, almost as an after thought.
"And no, in this case it isn't over reaching at all. This family lives by some very strict rules in regards to the safety of those we love. And the safest place for any of us to be is with each other. We always have each other's backs, no matter what. To not would be to face a punishment that no one of us would ever wish to see. So you see young man, she is most assuredly quite safe here. As she would be with any member of this family." Said rather matter-of-factly. And, yes, the other employees were considered family in this particular instance. Because Manny truly believed that De'Ryanna would be safer with even the least powerful and/or lowest ranking of Venis' employees than she ever would be with a stranger.

Manny moved towards the kitchenette within the room and poured himself a cup of coffee.
"Would you two care for anything at all while I am in here? I have some fresh fruit picked up at the market just today." He was not letting them out of his sight until he had to. Which was why he kept an eye on the young man out of his peripheral vision. He wondered if De'Ryanna would take him up on the offer of fruit, it was one of her favorite things to eat, if he remembered correctly.

Post by Ryanna Sat May 25, 2013 10:50 pm

It had been a long day, a lot had gone on. The voice in her head which had lead her here had been mysteriously quiet since she had arrived, she considered this to be a good thing as her mind had been filling up with questions about who she was, these people, and many other thoughts that didn't make any sense. Not to mention all the effort it was taking her to keep up this ruse.

'Ellisande' at some point while Manny was speaking to her, had lowered her head and cast down her eyes. "Company, that's a good word as another." What she had meant to say internally was being spoken softly instead without realizing it. "I know a Daniel, I'm sure....."

When Manny spoke about of why she didn't ask for help more often, that snapped her back onto the present. 'Ellisande's' eyes went wide, and she looked between the two of them and, for a moment, had forgotten where she was and why she was here. "Yes. Yes of course," 'Ellisande' said, figuring that it was a safe thing comment to whatever was being said. There were very few times when agreeing to something landed a person in trouble; hopefully this wasn't one of them.

'Ellisande' pressed against the bridge of her nose with the thumb and forefinger of her left hand, she also closed her eyes. "Forgive me, please. It's, it's been a long day." 'Ellisande' drew in a breath and exhaled slowly. Something that she should remember was pressing heavily on her mind. She heard something but couldn't make out what it was.

As she brought her hand down 'Ellisande' looked very hard at Manny. Then she turned her stare at Daniel before she stepped back, almost tripping over her own feet. Se managed to stay standing and only flash a bit if her leg. Obviously it was bare.

"It's been a long day."

'Ellisande' felt her grip on everything she had begin to slip from her. Complete exhaustion was setting in and she gave a quick shake of her head to clear her vision that was starting to fog over. It probably would have been wise to have accepted a drink when it was first offered. Hindsight.

Her nostrils flared and cold sweat beaded on her forehead and the pressure she was feeling only grew stronger. She looked at Daniel's hand. "Who, who...." Whatever see she was going to say was lost. The pressure caused her to blackout, and her legs gave way underneath.

If he were asked to give his view on the nature of this family he would say that it reminded him of a masked clan. They appear to be helpful and happy together without bearing any outward ill will towards the other because, if they did, it would be dealt with severely. The man had said so himself, that they would face a punishment. Obedience brought by fear. That certainly was reassuring to know about the people his Opportunity had placed herself amongst. He was reminded of the town that he had met the goddess in.

...... He and Manny could carry this quasi tiff out for a while.

There was nothing wrong with engaging another persons ethical and moral core now and then, even leaning on a few buttons. It wasn't something that he had done often and Daniel could play along, even though he was out of practice. Fortunately for the both of them there was something more pressing. His Opportunity seemed to be slipping away.

...... It was slight at first.

Then he noticed the distant look in her face and the way she snapped back to attention caused his attention to perk. The words she mumbled sounded lost. What was going on here? She had appeared to be fine only moments ago, a bit on the nervous side, but fine.

...... Daniel looked to Manny to see if he saw the same.

When Miss Aybara looked at him, Daniel caught her eye and he dare say he saw panic. She backed away from the two men, and he thought his speculation was correct, his hand started reaching out towards her, especially when he saw her misstep. As she righted herself he didn't touch her, but, he was a man and when a woman flashes it would be a shameful waste not to notice. Daniel was surprised to see that her legs and feet were bare, the way she wore her cloak had done well at concealing that fact. Was she here asking for fabrics because something had happened to hers? There were other thoughts trying to weasel their way into his head but he was wise to not let them take anchor. He did not need to give Manny more reason to want him out of the room.

...... His rings were generally harmless if you were a normal human.

The three rings on his right hand were unique and each given to him by a different person and because of different circumstances. Two of them had an aura of Light and Dark magic respectively, while the third had its own properties. None of it was anything he could turn on or off, it simply was. He knew what they did, certainly, but it wasn't something he advertised. Daniel was only a man who wore rings. All the more reason he was curious as to Miss Aybara's sudden change in behavior. She was taking deep breaths, perhaps she was having a reaction to one of them?

...... Then Daniel saw her start to go down.

He was already closer to her and it took only a step or two for Daniel to catch her, around the waist, and held her back to him as lowered to his knees. He wasn't a magician, and their current position didn't enable him to kept her fully covered though he kept her modesty. Bare legs to the thighs he would possibly apologize for later, if he remembered.

...... He was pretty sure she was nude under the cloak.

Combine that with feeling the slow movements of her breathing, and this man was going to need something cold. "She's still breathing."

"Nothing to forgive my dear." Was spoken while Manny had been on his way to the kitchenette to get his cup of coffee. Since neither of the two had taken him up on his second offer of refreshment while he was getting his coffee, Manny was on his way back into the sitting area when he saw De'Ryanna stumble backwards, moving farther from him as well as her companion.

In his mind he began to ponder her behavior, but that didn't last long as he saw her begin to collapse. He dropped his coffee cup to the floor, spilling it's contents upon the carpet, though the mug remained intact. He saw the flash of bare flesh as he swiftly moved towards her. She had been caught by the young man before Manny got to her. As he passed the couch, he grabbed the afghan off the back of it.

It was only a couple more steps to get him to their side. He fanned out the afghan like he had done it before and it landed softly upon her bare legs as he knelt beside them.
"Breathing is good." He checked her pulse first. She was a lycanthrope, Manny knew this, so her pulse was supposed to be faster than his. But it was wrong somehow. It didn't match her slow breathing.

Manny lifted her arm and put it around his neck, then he slid one arm under her back and the other under her afghan clad legs and he lifted her free of the young man's embrace. Who would have thought that the old man had it in him to lift her so.
"Let's get her to the bed so we can lay her down." He moved towards the bedroom.

Once in the bedroom he laid her upon his bed. He checked her head for a fever, remembering that her temperature would be higher than a normal human's as well. She was clammy and had broken out in a cold sweat. Her temperature was not what it should have been either.
"Could you be so kind as to bring me a wash cloth wet with cold water from the bathroom please, Daniel?" The purpose was to cool her face while washing away some of the sweat. He pointed towards the bathroom as he reached for his cell phone off the night stand.

He flipped open his phone and hit one number on it. He held the button down and then released it, dialing the number of the healer that was in the room right next door.
"Furgirl, we have an emergency over here ... Lunarlly challenged ... Not exactly sure ... In my room, the door's unlocked ... Ok, thanks." He clicked his phone shut and set it back down. He looked to see if Daniel had gotten him that wet cloth for her head. If he had, he would place it there now."Doc's on her way." He didn't know what else to do for the couple of minutes it would take for her to get there.

To Room #403 {Open} Empty Re: To Room #403 {Open}

Post by Tasha Masterson Fri May 31, 2013 2:54 am

Tasha woke with a start to the sound of her phone ringing. She grabbed up the phone and flipped it open. "Hello ... What type of being is it? ... What happened? ... Ok, where are you? ... I'll be there in a couple of minutes ... You're welcome." She clapped her phone shut and slid out from between the sheets, careful to not wake Ha'Ruil.

She moved to the dresser at the end of their bed. She grabbed up her hair brush and began to run it through her hair with one hand while she pulled open the top drawer with the other. She pulled out a pair of boxer shorts, Ha'Ruil's of course, and a tank top, which was hers. She wasn't worried about how she was dressed or if she even matched.

She slid the shorts on and then pulled the tank top over her head. She grabbed the purple medical bag from beside the dresser. It had been sitting between the green one and the black one. Different colored bags were packed with supplies for different types of beings. Which was why she had asked Manny what type of being it was. A few minutes was exactly on the money because once she was dressed she was out one door and into another.

She picked up DeRyanna's scent the moment she came through the door of Manny's room. She had no idea why the woman would be at The Starry Myst, let alone in Manny's room. So it made sense that she was the emergency. There were other scents in the room, including a male that she had barely caught scent of within the halls before. She let it go as she moved into the bedroom of the room.

She moved to the bed as she saw De'Ryanna laying upon it, apparently unconscious.
"Ok, I need some details here, what exactly happened?" She set her bag down and got out her stethoscope. She blew hot breath onto the metal disk before she slid it between the folds of the cloak. She immediately noticed that De'Ryanna was nude under the cloak so she was careful to not expose her.

After Tasha listened to her heart, she pulled a small pen light out of her bag. She peeled open De'Ryanna's left eye and shined the light into it, moving it side to side to see how her pupils reacted. Then she repeated the process with her right eye. She checked De'Ryanna's pulse at her wrist as she waited for someone to start telling her what had happened.

Manny took Opportunity away from Daniel.

Under the present circumstance this was a good thing, Daniel couldn't help but feel a tinge of loss and looked after Opportunity as she was carried away, even if it was the right thing to have happened. Daniel didn’t know where the bedroom was and it wasn’t the best idea for him to keep this naked girl against him for a stroll down the hallway. While Manny could have directed Daniel on where to go, he likely saw the way he had looked at Opportunity and took action.

...... Mores the pity

Now why was he to do? One thing was certain, he wasn't going to simply leave her there with the older man and his lot, and Daniel wasn't going to complain. He only had to carry on as he was and wait. The opportunity, for Opportunity, would return and therefore he followed Manny and stayed quiet.

...... Until he was asked to get the water

“She doesn’t remember us,” Daniel said over his shoulder as he went to get the wet cloth. Funny that he would use ‘us‘ when technically she didn’t know him at all.

Standing in the bathroom Daniel turned the tap on to cold and let it run for a while as he rested his hands upon the sinks basin and leaned forward. If there happened to be a mirror above the sink he would look into it at himself, if not then he’d stare at the wall. Opportunity not remembering was the only thing that made sense: the way she acted, the distant look in her eyes, and the way she moved from them.

Daniel used his hands to put cold water on his face - he needed it. While he was getting the cloth he heard another person enter the room, it wasn’t the ones who left to get the trunk as the steps sounded different, and it was only one set. Daniel wet the cloth, wrung it out, and headed back to the room.

...... When he got back to the bedroom

Daniel saw the new arrival. Judging by what she was carrying he assumed she was a doctor of a sort. Perhaps Manny had panicked or thought it serious enough for medical aide. Maybe he did not get out enough.

The cloth was offered out to Manny - he was stupid enough to push past the doctor and try to wipe Opportunity down himself. To the question that was asked, he shrugged. “It’s late, she didn’t accept food, got stressed and fainted. Here you go,” that bit was said to Manny, and he nodded to the cloth. It was short and to the point. No one had done anything to her, or even touched her. He didn’t see a reason to tell the story of why she had come. Though, if this doctor was a member of the family, well, he wasn’t going to dwell on that.

Manny heard the comment that was made on the young man's way to the bathroom. "Perhaps, or perhaps it's simply exhaustion." Though, he had his doubts as to whether she would recognize the young man either way.

There was a mirror in the bathroom just above the basin on the wall. It housed a small medicine cabinet.

When the young man came back in with the wet washcloth that Manny had asked for, it actually made him smile ever so slightly. It was nice to know that the young man would be a help rather than a hindrance. He nodded in response to everything the young man said to Tash.
"I know as much as he does, Doc, nothing more. Thank you young man." Then he took the offered cloth from him and placed it upon her forehead.

He watched Tasha as she examined De'Ryanna. But he also had ulterior motives for his calling upon her. It was not only that he wanted to make sure that there was nothing seriously wrong with De'Ryanna, but because he always preferred to have another in the room with him when there were strangers involved. And a young man plus Manny plus an unconscious De'Ryanna could lead to all sorts of accusations.

Venis' family might be loyal to her out of love and respect more than fear, but there was always the knowledge that fear was warranted if you did something terrible. And if she ever thought that someone did anything to someone whom she considered family, there would be hell to pay. So it was always best to have more than one conscious person in the room when strangers and/or family were involved. Witnesses were a good thing. Besides, Manny's papa bear instincts were still going off. Best not to be alone with the young man and be in danger of hurting him for some reason.

Tasha listened to the men as they spoke. She noticed Manny calling her Doc rather than by her name. That told her that there was some sort of trust issue with his male guest. Which would explain why he called her over the way he did. "Thank you, that is all very helpful information." She put her stethoscope upon the bed side table.

Knowing that De'Ryanna was nude under her cloak, she was very careful when she reached between the closed folds to touch upon her stomach. She applied small amounts of pressure to check for abnormalities. Finding none, she reached to the woman's mouth and checked her teeth. Given she was a lycan, she would have stronger teeth, but if there was any malnourishment, it would show subtlety on her teeth.

She took another look at De'Ryanna's face and frowned.
"She's not malnourished from what I can see. Without machines to give exact readings that's the best I can do to tell. But she does need some nourishment. I'm going to run an IV to start her off." She reached into her bag and pulled out a needle sealed in plastic. She also got out some tubing and a bag of clear liquid.

She looked over at the gentleman who had told her what had happened.
"Would you mind holding this for me?" She needed someone who could hold the bag for her. She needed Manny to take care of some other things. She attached one end of the tubing to the bag. Then she washed De'Ryanna's arm in one spot with an alcohol wipe. Next she opened the needle and slid it into her arm. She taped it in place then attached the free end of the tube. She opened the valves on the tube so that the liquid could start flowing very slowly down the tube and into De'Ryanna's arm.

She looked at Manny.
"This bag is only meant to nourish her for a little bit while she rests. She'll be hungry when she wakes. We're going to need broth and a drink that's heavy on the electrolytes first. If she doesn't have any issues with that, we'll move on to some fresh fruit and veggies with some juice." She smiled knowing that Manny would take care of it.

She had a rack in her room for hanging the bag, but she would have to go get it, and she wanted to make sure that everything was well under control over here first. She tilted her head and looked at De'Ryanna again.
"She almost looks like she has a headache or is trying to remember something, doesn't she? Or maybe she's worried about something?" Worry lines showed between Tasha's own emerald hued cat eyes. There was a whole lot going on here that she was yet to become privy to. But it could wait unless it became detrimental to De'Ryanna's health.

Wake up

From one perspective, passing out was the best thing she could have done as it enabled her body to get the rest that it so desperately needed. ‘Ellisande’ had not taken a rest since she had arrived at the Inn. On the other hand, the last time she rested, 'Ellisande' was subjects to thoughts , dreams, and that voice.

Wake up

In her mind she saw herself five years younger and sitting in a forest, in the dirt, with an older man. She knew this man, she had to, but even in her dream she couldn't recall who he was. 'Ellisande' stepped closer to her younger self and the man, she thought she heard herself say 'Father' but..... "No, no that's not my father...." She remembered another guy, a palace, not this one with a more earthy look and feel. She did feel a connection to this man.

They were talking, but what about? 'Ellisande' dared to get closer, though she was pretty sure that they old neither see or hear her. In the waking world she had a heightened sense of smell, so of this was a true memory, she assumed they would have discovered her by now. None of the words were clear, she couldn't make out any of them until, "Once you start down this path, there is no turning back. I can teach you, but in the end, the strength must come from you."

What path? What strength did she need? What was he talking about?

Wake up!

The scene she had been watching started to fade out and her head started pounding, those watching her - in the real world - would see her shaking her head from side to side and eyes squeezing shut. It was that voice again. It wanted her to get up, to open her eyes, she wanted to watch more of the scene, figure out the answer to her latest batch of questions.

As the image she had been watching, the last thing she could make out was her younger self curling in a ball, in sudden pain. In the real world, a deep, threatening growl - that wasn't human- started from her throat and her hands, that had been relax, balled into tight fist.

Inside her mind 'Ellisande' felt lost and confused. "I don't understand! I don't understand what's going on!" She shouted internally, trying to hear herself over the pressure in her head.

Now! Wake up now!

'Ellisande' didn't wake up, not as she was suppose to. Her eyes shot open, and they were cold and hard and feral; and they looked right at Tasha. The growl had only continued and grew louder. In a swift motion she snatched the IV out of her arm and scooted back far on the bed. 'Ellisande's' back was to the wall (or headboard) and she was in a defensive crouch. On all fours. Her cloak was steadily falling away from her to reveal that she most defiantly was naked underneath. In her current state she didn't notice nor care.

Her lips curled into a snarl as she bared her teeth. A moment later she curled in on herself in pain and let out a very human, gut wrenching scream of pain. She was in the beginning stages of change. 'Ellisande' tossed her head back up, her hair very untamed at the moment, and her growling was deeper and her stance said she was ready to attack.

To Room #403 {Open} Empty Re: To Room #403 {Open}

Manny nodded to Tash and headed out of the room.  He trusted her to handle any situation that could arise.  He headed for the kitchenette where he began to prepare a pot of broth.  While the water was boiling he got out some fresh fruit and began to chop it up.  He was going to do exactly as Tasha asked so there would be no questions from the stranger.

Yes, he was still a stranger.  He didn't believe that the man was De'Ryanna's company for one moment.  Especially given that the man had been here for some time before De'Ryanna showed.  Though, she might have come here to see the man, and something could have happened to her along the way.  Though he doubted that the man was her purpose for being at the Inn. No, there was a mystery here and Manny meant to get to the bottom of it, one way or another.

Tasha was startled when De'Ryanna shot awake and yanked at her IV.  The growl was to be expected give the physical reaction.  She looked to the young man who was still in the room. "You might want to relocate.  Like to another room, I suggest the sitting room or the kitchenette with Manny."  She never took her attention completely away from the feral werewolf of the bed.

Not taking the time to make sure that the stranger had fled per her suggestion, she held her hands out in front of her to show that she was unarmed.  But she knew that look in De'Ryanna's eyes.  Tasha had a look like that when she was on a hunt.  A look she got every full moon.  The most dangerous thing in the room was no longer the stranger who might overhear something that was none of his business.  The most dangerous thing in the room was now a confused, scared, angry, and feral werewolf.  Seconded by the werepanther that was about to take her on if she attacked.

She moved a step closer to the bed. "Hey, it's ok, look.  Nothing in my hands.  I'm not going to hurt you.  No more needles.  I promise.  Just calm down hon." She always did like to live dangerously.  She put her knee on the bed to show that she was not going to hurt her.  But she wanted to be close enough to stop her if she pounced.  No need to get the men hurt.

...... Surprised may not have been the correct word

Curious.  Intrigued. Piqued..  Those words would have a closer fit. Daniel had known that something was different about this girl, but he did not know how different until she started growling.

He had heard differs types of growls in his travels: one being from animals when they felt threatened; and two, from females in the midst of sexual pursuit. This was defiantly the first option. While he had heard about humanoid creatures that turned beastial, Daniel had never had the opportunity to see one. Until now.

........ He had nothing on him for protection

And neither did this doctor from what he could see, and yet she was challenging his Opportunity. Perhaps there was something different about her too? Daniel shouldn't be surprised. He had seen a few things since he arrived her, not to mention who's inn this was. Still, the man did want to retain his head and therefore he backed away. Daniel spent a moment more to watch the scene of the two females before he decided to take the Doctors advice and left the room. There were times you had to pick your battles and this one was better fought in the small kitchen.

...... Daniel watched Manny for a moment

He was leaning in the entryway with his arms crossed loosely over his chest.  “So, just another night at the Starry Myst, huh?”

All 'Ellisande' could hear was the growling of an angry wolf. There was nothing to see but utter darkness.  The sound surrounded and frightened her as It was harsh and foreign. And, even though her ryes were shut tight, the scene she had been watching before continued to play out. 'Ellisande' didn't understand it, nor did she understand why her body was in so much pain. She was huddled into a corner and curled tightly in on herself. Arms over her head and covering her ears as 'Ellisande' rocked back and forth, muttering under her breath.

Of course, this was all within her minds eye for 'Ellisande' had retreated far within herself. It had all been to much for her to handle.

Outside, in the waking world, the wolf side had taken over and, like its human counterpart, was afraid and angry at being cornered. The growl continued to pour from her mouth, though she risked moving forward - on all fours of course. Right arm came out cautiously and pressed down on the bed. The next was the left leg, it came forward just as slowly. ‘Ellisande’ was coming away from the corner of the bed and keeping her eyes trained on Tasha.  Her goal was the door, she wanted to get out of the room. Tasha may have meant to seem non- threatening by placing her knees upon the bed, but this wolf, that had been ‘Ellisande’ took it more as a challenge.  The other was trying to get closer to capture her and she wasn’t going to let that happen. As she crept further along the bed - as opposite of Tasha as she could - the last of the cloak fell from her to rest upon the bed. She didn’t notice, why would she, wolves had no need of clothing.

The closer ‘Ellisande’ moved to Tasha the more the timbre of the growling increased.  She wanted her to move, or she would barge past her to get out of the room.
