The hot springs are just that, geothermal heated ground water. There are two sides with a 20 foot tall bamboo fence with no gaps for peekers between the middle of the area, One side for males and one side for females. There are two areas where both can get undressed and to grab a towel, once they are in the hot springs the only way to for the male and female to communicate is to talk over the fence.
