Tasha had heard what Casie said on her way out. She was glad that Casie had shown up to help her out. And now that she was downstairs at the ballroom she was ready to face the mass of fur that was in the room. "Oh come on, it can't be that bad honey." She reached her hand to the door handle. She reached down with her other hand and pet Leviathan and then Kjay as she turned the handle and pulled the door open.

As soon as she turned her head to face the inside of the room she leaned back and pushed the door closed again. "Oh God's ... It's worse." She covered her mouth and nose for a moment. How had she not smelt them before? She shook her head and then moved her hand from her face. She blinked a few times and shook her head. She was trying to not get sick. They really did have an odor once they were inside and in a group.

She reached to the waist of her pants and unclipped her cell phone. She flipped it open and called the number for the Inn. They were so not going to be happy with her, or at least the situation. She moved to sit in Ha'Ruil's lap as she waited for them to answer the phone downstairs at the desk. Kjay and Leviathan were both laying back against the door and against each other. She leaned sideways against Ha'Ruil and smiled softly.

He just chuckled a little bit as he saw his girlfriend open then close the door. He warned her but did she listen nnnooooo.... He chuckled some more. And when he saw that she was walking over to him and started to sit on him. He let her as he put his arms around her waist moving his head so that he could look up at her. So at the moment he would just wait there until she got off the phone with whoever she was about to talk to.

He had been sitting there watching deadliest warrior chuckling at how the two groups bashed each other as he heard the phone ring. He sighed a little as he turned down the tv and answered the phone. "Thank you for calling the StarryMyst Inn, Come in and stay a while you will enjoy it. This is Tokeda speaking how may I help you?" now he would just wait until hey got a response from the other side of the phone.

Tasha saw Ha'Ruil move to look up at her. She smiled at him and blew him a kiss. When Tokeda answered the phone she drew in her bottom lip and bit down on it for a brief second. When he was done with his greeting she spoke. "Tokeda, this is Tasha Masterson. I'm up here on the second floor sitting outside of the ballroom. I brought some ... Uh ... Guests, yea, guests to the Inn. And uh ... They well ... Could you bring up some air freshener?" She winced and raised her shoulders as she waited for his reply.

As she waited she thought about asking him if there were enough rooms available for all of them. But she wasn't sure if any of them were even going to be staying or if they did who would want their own room and who would want to share. was just going to have to wait to find all that information out. Another thought that was going through her racing mind was that she and Ha'Ruil were not going to be able to sleep in their own room. But Eros had gone to check on Venis so her room was free at least.

If Tokeda started to talk to her, it would take her a moment to notice, because her mind wandered to the fact that it was unlike Venis to stay away for so long. After all, this was the sixth day that she had been at the keep. She had been gone for over three days before they even found out that she was at the Keep. Venis didn't usually stay out of touch like that. And she had heard that there had been an explosion at the Keep the day before as well. Venis lost some animals and an employee. Kids with fireworks.

But Tasha snapped back to the here and now. After all, Tokeda was already answering her, right? She placed her hand on the side of Ha'Ruil's cheek as she listened to Tokeda. When he was done she would close her phone and lean into Ha'Ruil to steal a kiss. The kiss would be followed by some snuggling into his arms and a light purring. After all, she was in the arms of her beloved. He made everything else in the world fade away, if only for a moment. And that moment would be interrupted by the elevator.

And the elevator happened to be carrying two employees, pushing food carts. It was after midnight, so it was Joseph and Shamus on shift. Paul had volunteered to stay down at the bar while they delivered the large order of food that Tasha had requested. Jason was sent to bed, he had school in the morning. He took the three meals to Tasha's room that she had requested since he was already on his way there. The employee's rooms were right across the hall from Tasha and Ha'Ruil's.

Joseph and Shamus wheeled the carts over to where Tasha was sitting on Ha'Ruil's lap. They were chuckling because they could tell that they had just interrupted some intimate moment. "Sorry guys. But the grub is ready that you requested Furgirl." Shamus wasn't worried about the informal greeting he used given the present company. Though had he known that it was a group of Lycanthropes on the other side of the door, he might have been a little more formal when addressing her.

Joseph chimed in right after Shamus. "Jas took the three meals up to your room. Why so much food? And why are you two sitting out here and not inside?" He was the first to reach the four outside the door and he reached down to pet both Kjay and Leviathan. He was a fan of the four legged furballs. He could wrestle with them and get exercise. And he didn't have to worry about hurting them. He didn't like regular forms of exercise. It seemed entirely too mundane for his personal tastes.

He stood there listening to Tasha's request and when the words air freshener came out of the speaker of the phone he pulled it away for a second, he gave a few blinks then mouthed the word "air freshener?". In his mind he was already going "Why would someone need an air freshener. Ohhh I swear to the goddess if one of her guests clogged up the toilet I am going to hand her the gloves and plunger." again he never said any of this out loud. "Yeah sure Tasha I will be right up with the can of air freshener. See you in a sec." With that leaned down and grabbed a can of freshener before he walking around the counter and headed up the stairs. When he got to the second floor he saw the people standing there as well as Tasha sitting in her man lap. He just gave out a chuckle as he walked over to them. "Hey I have the air freshener for you. But I do not understand why you need it. It should not stink that ba......." That is all that came out of his mouth as he walked over to the door and opened it to the ball room the smell hit his nose like a ton of bricks, and his eye were going from left to right seeing the weres as they were at the moment, but if you think that would get a face out of him it did not. All he did was close it back up handed Tasha the can. "Hold on a moment." Was all he said as he walked back down and walked into a closet behind the counter pulling out a box. He then walked back upstairs and smiled as he saw everyone again. "I think this will help much better." He said as he pulled out nine more cans of air freshener. Again he gave out a chuckled before smiling at her. "Oh just to let you know, you will be getting a bill." He chuckled again as he knew that she knew what he was talking about. And with that he walked back downstairs to watch his show.

Dealing with fuzzballs Empty Re: Dealing with fuzzballs

Post by Tasha Masterson Sat Sep 18, 2010 4:14 am

Tasha looked up from her snuggling with her boyfriend to see Shamus and Joseph coming out of the elevator. She smiled at the two as they came closer to the happy couple. A nod to Shamus about what he said as she responded. "Very good Shamus. Don't worry about the interruption, it was PG snuggling. It's been a long day. Heh, day and night." She shifted her weight in Ha'Ruil's lap to better fill her nose with the wonderful aroma of the food.

She looked at Joseph as he spoke. "Oh, ok, thank you Joseph. We have some guests and that's why we need all the extra food. As for our being out here, well ..." She was just about to answer his last question when Tokeda appeared at the top of the stairs. She pulled her t-shirt up over her nose as he reached for the handle of the door. She wasn't about to have her overly sensitive sense of smell assaulted again when the door was opened up.

She took the can from Tokeda when he offered it. She waited a moment before removing the t-shirt from over her nose. "It's a little rank in the ballroom at the moment." She chuckled after finishing her answer to Joseph. She was trying to figure out how to spray the room and not make the lycan's choke on the spray. They were without clothing after all. But she couldn't just go in there and spray them down with air freshener. It could make them sick.

Then it hit her, just as Tokeda was coming back up with the box. She couldn't quite hide her smile as she started taking the cans that he was handing her. "Thank you very much Tokeda." She fought the urge to chuckle. She mock gasped when he told her that she would be getting a bill. He had seen the hybrids in the ball room. She was guessing that the bill would be for the exterminator and delouse the ball room. That made her chuckle.

She rose up from Ha'Ruil's lap and opened her mouth to speak. "If you'll hold on a second, I'll ..." She had been hearing her sister upstairs walking around. She knew she was awake. But Tokeda didn't hear her before he was gone back down the stairs. But that was ok. He was up for the night, her sis was having sleeping issues, she would just send her down to hang out with him. She was almost completely sure that he wouldn't mind one single bit.

But first, they had to spray the ballroom. "You guys brought extra napkins, right? Of course you did. Ok, so go inside, give everyone a couple of napkins and ask them to cover their faces. You might want to cover your own noses as you do it." She grinned at the two men. Part of being an employee of the Goddess was having to do all the dirty work that no one else wanted to do. And that included this. "Ha'Ruil and I will follow with the sprays."

She chuckled at the looks that the pair of men got on their faces. "After the mist dies down, you can bring in the food." It sounded good to her. Not to mention a lot easier on her nose, and Ha'Ruil's as well. So she patted her hand twice on her thigh so that Levi and Kjay would move away from the door so that it could be opened enough for someone to actually enter. Then she waited for Shamus and Joseph to go in with the napkins to hand out.

She pulled out her cell phone and dialed her sisters number. I went right to voice mail. Which made Tasha hang up and call right back. But t went right to voice mail again. Tasha hung up her phone and put it back in its little case on her hip. "Hmm, guess her phone's off." She pressed her lips together and raised her eyebrows for a moment. "I'll just have to get her another way." And she would too. She already had an idea of just how to do it too.

Dealing with fuzzballs Empty Re: Dealing with fuzzballs

Post by Employees of the Goddess Mon Sep 27, 2010 4:12 am

Grunt work. An every day part of life for an employee of the Goddess. But it wasn't very often that little miss Masterson tried her hand at giving orders. Or even making requests as she was so politely doing lately. Tasha didn't have it in her to be overly bossy unless she was pushed. And some employees had pushed her in the past. So how could anyone refuse such a request from such a polite little dainty woman?

They couldn't, which was why Shamus and Joseph picked up napkins, covered their noses and mouths, and carried stacks of napkins into the ballroom. But once they were inside, they both froze in place, not even allowing for the door to close fully behind them. The ballroom was occupied by thirteen lycans, twelve of which were in Hybrid form. Which left one to only suspect that the young lady was a lycan as well.

Leviathan got up and moved into the room with the two men. She was going to protect them from the animals if she had to. Kjay had shorter fuse than she did, so she had asked him to stay with Tasha and Ha'Ruil. Once she was inside, she walked ahead of Shamus and Joseph so they would move and let the door close the rest of the way. The lycan's knew she meant business, she had already communicated that to them.

Shamus and Joseph knew that Levi could communicate with lycan's, so they felt a little safer in that room with her there. It was that small amount of security that moved them forward towards the pack. They began to hand two napkins to each being in the room. Some of which were breeds that they didn't know existed. "Please cover your faces for your own safety." Shamus was letting them know why they were there.

When they got to the young lady who was in human form, she was shivering. Joseph pulled his hoodie off over his head and offered it to her. "Here you go miss. And, no offense, but what are you?" He was curious as to why she was the only one in the room who was in a human form. It could have been because she was human, but he doubted that for some reason. If she had been human, he'd be shocked.

If she took the hoodie, he hoped she would put it on so she could get warm. Once they were through talking to her, the three of them would go back out into the hall outside of the ballroom to let Tasha and Ha'Ruil know that everyone had their napkins. And also tell them that they did warn them to cover their faces. After all, they didn't want anyone inhaling the mist from the air freshener and getting sick. What a mess.

Dealing with fuzzballs Empty Re: Dealing with fuzzballs

Post by Victoria Clox Tue Oct 05, 2010 2:06 am

Victoria looked up at the two men when they handed her the napkins. She didn't hold their gaze long though, as she was rather shy and reserved. It was true that she was the only human looking one amongst them, but that was simply because she had no Hybrid form. But with one look into her chocolate orbs, one could tell that there was more to her than just being human.

So when the man asked her what she was, she took no offense. After all, he was just curious. Everyone else in the room was in Hybrid form, so it was easy to tell their breed. So with a quiet, shy voice she spoke her answer. "I am Swanee ... A wereswan as it were. And you did not offend me sir." She smiled at them both, though not sure why. Maybe they just gave her a feeling that they weren't there to harm any of them, or maybe she just thought they were nice, but either way, she wasn't scared of them. She even took the offered hoodie. It smelt nice. She pulled it on over her head and then pulled it down to try and stay warm.

Not that she was ever scared of anyone in general. But this night had been pretty terrifying so far. After all, one minute she was in the cave waiting for the others to return with food, then next she was being ushered here, to this Inn. And from what she had seen so far, it was a pretty nice place. So she took the offered napkins and placed them over her face as she had been asked. She even made a joke to her best friend, who was at the same table as her, Quintessa. The joke was in regards to the napkins not matching her outfit. After all, she was wearing blue jeans and a purple peasant blouse. No shoes, her sandals had broken a few weeks back. And her hair needed washed and brushed. The napkins were white.

Relieved that he had not offended her, Joseph smiled. "I'm glad I didn't offend you. Now, please cover your face, the room is getting sprayed in a moment." Neither of them asked her name at the moment, they hadn't asked anyone their names. Names could come later.

Once they had all the napkins passed out to everyone, they left the ballroom, Leviathan in tow. She had made sure that she stayed between them and the Lycan's. Sort of like a guard cat. After all, they were her humans too. At least they were at the moment.

Dealing with fuzzballs Empty Re: Dealing with fuzzballs

Post by Tasha Masterson Sun Oct 17, 2010 2:08 am

When Shamus and Joseph came back out she smiled at them. "Thank you gentlemen." She picked up a napkin off the cart and handed it to Ha'Ruil. She slid one can of spray into each of her two pockets, and then picked handed some to Ha'Ruil. She popped the lid on a third can for herself and then covered her face with a napkin.

She headed for the door and pulled it open. With only one napkin over her face rather than two, she could still see. She stepped inside and looked at everyone to see if their faces were covered. Leviathan and Kjay stayed outside of the door for now. Tasha was a lycan too, they weren't worried about her or Ha'Ruil going in there.

She took the chance that everyone had covered their faces and began to spay the room. As she sprayed, she moved towards the front. And when the first can was empty, she pulled another from her pocket. Popping the top on the second can, she continued. She looked back to see if Ha'Ruil had come inside with her to spray.

It took all three cans that she had on her to make her way to the front of the room. She hoped that Ha'Ruil had used a lot of spray as well. She kept the napkin over her face as the mist settled over the room. She could smell the scent of the spray starting to penetrate the napkin and it made her happy. The spray smelt much better.

Once the mist died down, she removed her napkin. She had moved over to the part of the room that was directly below her sisters room. She began to stack chairs on top of tables. She made a pyramid of sorts. And she carried more chairs up the pyramid as she climbed. When she could reach, she knocked on the ceiling.

She used a different code than that of Venis and her entourage. This was an old game the Masterson sisters used to play when they were children. *Tap, tap, tap tap, tap* was the sound her knocks made. That was the code for 'I know you're there, come here.' And when her sister did come down, she would send her to Tokeda.

Once she had knocked, she heard the response. *Thud, thud* as her sister stomped her foot on the floor twice. This meant that she had gotten the message and would be on her way. So Tasha began to climb down, bringing furniture with her. She put the room back exactly how it had been before she climbed up there.

Now that she had taken care of that, with a little feline acrobatics, she was ready to return to what she was there to do. "You can come in now Gentlemen." She moved back to the front of the room. She looked to see if Ha'Ruil was going to join her there. After all, she wouldn't want him anywhere other than at her side.

She looked out at the room and saw all the different beings that were present. She offered them a smile, though her wariness might have shown through. She had been running ragged in Venis' absence, and this was another thing on her plate now. But she would get everything figured out, somehow. Even if it took getting help.

She addressed the room while she waited for the food to brought in."Let's start out with the basics. Why doesn't everyone tell me their names. My name is Tasha, my boyfriend is Ha'Ruil. The panther who will be coming in is Leviathan, and the wolf is Kjay." She waited for the answers, wondering who would go first.

He smiled as he kept an arm around her for a moment before he let her go and took a napkin to cover his face. He walked in to the room behind Tasha spraying his two cans of air freshener. After a moment when the air was clear again he lowered his napkin looking at the Weres in the room and took in the scene. It was a rag tag group that was for sure, and again he knew that they have not had a good meal in weeks. Well hopefully the meal that they would be getting here shortly would help out their moods. When Tasha was introducing them again he nodded his head waiting to see what kind of response she would get.

With Inion preoccupied and not much for long shopping trips, Fia was restless. This was the reason she was in the kitchen looking to see if there was anything she could help out with. She of course found it empty and looking like several quick meals had been made. She sniffed the air and perked her ears a bit, she was curious and thought maybe just maybe something was going on that she could help with. She picked up Joseph's scent and followed it up to the second floor only to find them standing outside the ballroom door. Standing away for a moment she watched what was going on and of course was hit by the smell when the doors where open.

Slow steps took her to the side of the two men "Hey guys, anything I can help with?" From the inside she could hear Tasha talking to people inside.

Shamus and Joseph turned around then they heard the Irish accent that addressed them. Shamus walked over to Fia and gave her a one shoulder hug. Then Joseph moved to hug and chastely kiss the object of his desires if not his affection. After all, he had grown quite fond of the beauty.

He smiled at her when she asked if she could help. "Well dear, we have some meals to hand out, and we were just headed in to do so. But I must warn you, the scents inside are quite strong. Tasha and Ha'Ruil just sprayed the room full of air freshener to mask the odors of their guests."

Shamus scratched at the back of his neck before speaking. "And um, their guests ... Well, their guests are a bunch of Lycanthropes. And uh, I'm not so sure that all of them are ... Friendly." He too felt the need for a little warning before letting her join them. No need to get anyone hurt.

Joseph smiled again. "Dear, you have a military-esque background, right?" He was pretty sure that she could handle herself in a fight, in fact, he could pretty much guarantee it. And he knew she carried the title of Commander. He was almost sure she had gotten it from some military service.

Shamus opened the door, and Leviathan and Kjay stepped through first. If Fia was going to join them, he would of course let her go next. Then he and Joseph would follow with the carts. The smell of the air freshener hit hard as it waifed out the door. But it was better than before.

Joseph thought to himself that he and Fia might try spending some of their time together talking once in a while. They knew they enjoyed each others company, but they knew precious little else. But those thoughts were pushed to the back of his mind as he began to pass out the plates.

Fia gave Shamus returned the hug and of course returned the hug and kiss to Joseph. "I can help hand out food no worries. ' Just gave them a wink, "lycanthropes huh sounds like a fun time. " A wave of her hand. "no worries boys if they get out of hand if my charms don't win them then the tip of my blade well change their behaviour." She was half joking and half serious. "been in enough battles to know how to influence people." She wasn't one to go into alot of detail about her military background.

She stepped into the room and was hit even harder by the smells. The air freshner may have covered the other smells but at the moment to her it was the worst. She grabbed one of the napkins and tied it around her nose and mouth like a cowboy in the old west. She helped pass out plates looking over each person or lycanthrope as she did. Taking notes in her head she formed a plan that might help in getting them cleaned up and settled. By the looks of them, they had been through alot, would explain way some looked unfriendly.

She got to the lovely dark haired beauty that seemed out of place and handed her a plate. "You are unique even in this group. I am Fia." She sat done next to her. "Looks like you have all been through alot."

Dealing with fuzzballs Empty Re: Dealing with fuzzballs

Post by Jasper Izzoli Wed Dec 08, 2010 3:12 am

Jasper had taken the napkins from the men who brought them. But he was not going to put them over his face. That was until the cat and her elf walked through the door spraying stinky stuff into the air. He knew then that if he didn't cover his face with the napkins, he would be gagging soon.

Once they were done spraying stuff he left the napkins up until he couldn't feel the moisture in the air anymore. Which was a bit of time given he was still in his Hybrid form. The mist from the sprays had a lot of fur to penetrate before his flesh would feel it.

Once the mist was gone, he removed the napkins. The cat and her elf were at the front of the room now. About ten feet, or so, from him. He leaned back in his chair and extended his legs out in front of him. It was meant to draw the cat's attention. Even if he knew her name, she was still the cat to him.

They wanted to know everyone's names. So naturally pretty much everyone looked at him. After all, he had basically taken charge of them when they found themselves as a make-shift pack. So Jasper shrugged and began to speak up. "Jasper. 'Course, I already told you that kitty cat." Now if others wanted them to know their names they could share themselves.

When he heard the doors to the Ballroom open up, he looked over his shoulder. There was Leviathan, just as promised. And the big black wolf was Kjay he figured. And then there were two red-haired guys pushing carts. The carts were loaded with food. He could smell it. And this diverted his attention from the cat and caused a shift in his position. His nose went to the air as the smell of the food filled his nostrils. He resisted the urge to howl. But it was even harder to resist the urge to pounce. He managed, somehow.

Then he noticed the woman who'd entered with them. She was hot. She seemed to be wearing a napkin around her face. He thought this to be comical, yet at the same time, practical. Because that air freshener was God's awful. She was helping them pass out food until she got to Victoria. She sat down with her and he shrugged it off. Victoria was in no danger with Quintessa at the same table. Though, if she wasn't three steps from starvation and had been out in the elements for so long without proper protection, she wouldn't need Quintessa watching her back. That was one Swanee he wouldn't want to tangle with.

Soon, a plate was set before him and he showed enough restraint to wait until everyone had a plate before he started eating. Of course, there was one little problem. In order for them to eat like civilized humans, they needed to be humans. Some of them had clothes in the bags they brought with them, and they could shift and get dressed. Others did not. He was one who did not. He knew if he shifted, he would be nude. And most everyone else would shift too. Lycan's had a thing about nudity, as in it didn't bother them. But there were two humans, an elf, and ... Well she was going into the humanoid class at the moment because he wasn't sure what she was. Would they trip out over a little nudity? There was only one way to find out. And he shifted to his human form. Right there in the chair where he sat.

He wasn't as dirty in this form, and could use a knife and fork like a normal person. So if his nudity bothered anyone, it was on them. After all, just because he was part animal didn't mean he had to eat like one. And with that, he lifted the lid from his plate and picked up his fork. And just like a civilized human being, he took a bite of his food. Once the bite was gone, he thanked them for the meal, then returned to eating.

Dealing with fuzzballs Empty Re: Dealing with fuzzballs

Post by Gene Lindes Wed Dec 08, 2010 6:20 am

Gene watched as the two red haired men came in and passed out napkins. He waited to see why they were doing so before he put them over his face. Which was hard to do in his Hybrid form. But he somehow managed when he realized that they were coming in to spray the room. He watched in silence, once his napkins were removed, as the woman and the elf sat at the head of the room. She wanted to know names, but he didn't usually speak in his Hybrid form, a rat's mouth not being the best from which to do so. So he said nothing.

But then the men were back, with the panther and the wolf, and a female. The woman, Tasha, had not mentioned a woman coming in. He eyeballed her as she was helping the men. But he saw her sit down with Victoria before she got to where he was. He was one table back from Jasper. So when his dinner plate was set before him, he sniffed it and then removed the top. Taking his cues from Jasper, he shifted into his human form.

Once he was human, and rather naked, he pulled a huge hoodie out of his bag and slipped it on over his head. He stood long enough to pull it down, as it fit like it was made for someone two or three times his size. He would have put on his sweat pants too, but he figured that would take too long. While he was standing he looked at Tasha. "My name is Gene, and thank you for the food." Then he sat down and started to eat, with a knife and fork too, just like the human that he was.

Dealing with fuzzballs Empty Re: Dealing with fuzzballs

Post by Leigha Timbers Wed Dec 08, 2010 6:46 am

Leigha was not really paying much attention to the two men who came in and handed her the napkins. She really wasn't in the mood to eyeball the man candy. She hadn't been feeling very good all night. She had been splitting her share of food with Jannie, Holly, and Victoria, adding to their share in hopes of keeping them alive. They had gotten sick, she hadn't. But that hadn't left a lot of food for her. So now she was the one who was getting sick. So sick in fact, that she made a bee line to the bathroom. She at least thought to grab her bag on her way in.

When she returned from the bathroom, she was in her human form, and was wearing a pull over dress with long sleeves. It was burgundy and had a pair of ties coming off the sides. She moved over to Jasper, who was already in his human form as well, and let him tie her. Her face was wet because she had washed it, and some of her hair had gotten wet as well. She imagined that she had to look a fright, but she had seen worse days as well as better ones.

She returned to her seat, over with Jessica and Marie. They were at the table that was between Jasper's table and Victoria's table. She saw the plate of food, and heard Gene introduce himself, so she figured she would do the same. In a very timid sounding voice, she spoke to Tasha."I am Leigha, and thank you for being so kind as to feed us." Her hand shook slightly as she reached for the dome cover over the plate. She did her best to hide it, but she was pretty sure she had been seen. But she began to eat anyway.

Dealing with fuzzballs Empty Re: Dealing with fuzzballs

Post by Cyrus Lement Wed Dec 08, 2010 7:10 am

Cyrus was sitting at the same table as Jasper and closer to Leigha. So he was very concerned when he saw her get up and run to the bathroom. Though he thought it might have just been a need to pee. So he just shrugged and took the offered napkins. When he heard her getting sick in the bathroom, he wished he could go in there and comfort her. But he knew he couldn't, not in a fancy place like this.

When they came in and started spraying, he covered his face. The crap they were spraying was the foofiest nastiness he had ever smelled. It was making him want to gag, even with the napkins. He was so glad when it was over and the mist had died down.

He knew a little better than Jasper, just how sick the females were getting. Jasper was a little ... Hyperactive and some things just slipped past him. But that was why Cyrus stayed at his side. Someone had to protect him, and the rest of them as well. Ace was pretty good at protecting too. But Cyrus liked to play the body guard. It had been what he had done for most of his life anyway.

When the food came, people started to shift into human form. Some were giving their names. So what did he do? He reached into his back pack and pulled out a pair of cut off sweat shorts. He shifted and then pulled them on under the table.

He looked over at Tasha and Ha'Ruil, he was pretty good with names, most of the time anyway. "Thanks for the grub, I'm Cyrus." He almost added thanks for saving us from starvation, but Jasper had a wicked backhand when he went to slap a guy. So Cyrus just started eating.

Dealing with fuzzballs Empty Re: Dealing with fuzzballs

Post by Ace St.Cloud Wed Dec 08, 2010 3:50 pm

.::} And so

everyone was settling down to eat at this table as if it was fine, good, a time for feasting and fellowship and all the while Ace was still trying to figure out just what the hell had happened. First they were in the woods fighting for survival and now they were here . . . in this . . .place.

.::} He was

still padding around on all fours - at least for the moment - as he had a better sense of smell and he wanted to register the many things that were there before he shifted to his human self. However, separating the food from the people from any other smell was proving to be more difficult than it should because of that scent that had been sprayed in the room earlier and he grumbled softly as a fox would. Despite his thoughts he had to admit that being here was better than being back at the caves, at least here it was dry and there was food.

.::} Food

That thought alone made his stomach grumble and he arched his back as he lowered on his front legs to suppress it. He looked over to Jannie - the other one who was the same species as himself - and pushed back to his feet. Yes. Being here was better than at the cave cause here she could eat and not have to wait and be alone while the rest went to find food.

.::} Once he was

on his feet he pushed up even more till the four legs became two and the paws grew and widened out to feet, legs and the whole of his body underwent the transformation from fox to man. Or young man in his case. The tuffs of carrot color hair were the only thing left of his animal nature and he paid no mind to his nudity as he took a few pieces of food that was being passed out. This was taken and he made way over to Jannie, worried about how she was feeling after being moved, sometimes things like this can be stressful. He looked over at Cyrus a moment - watching him being all protector like - and thought to shrug it off. Let the man take care of those others, he had someone who needed him, and the food was placed in Jannie's reach. "I'm still with you." He was being reassuring, his British accent coating the words.

.::} Crouching down now

to hide his 'bits' from any casual view of the strangers in the room he balanced well on the balls of his feet. He didn't forget about the name, may as well tell them something. "Ace. That's me."

Dealing with fuzzballs Empty Re: Dealing with fuzzballs

Post by Marie Cauler Wed Dec 08, 2010 6:22 pm

Marie was sitting at the table with Jannie. She watched Ace as he paced around the room, not remembering when he shifted into full fox form. When she was offered the napkins, she had taken them, and when they were spraying she used them.

When she took the napkins down she looked to the panther woman. She said her name was Tasha. And as much as Ace seemed to not trust her, so did Marie. Because Marie remembered what the werepanther pard had done to them as if it were yesterday. She herself being the lone surviver of the attack to her pard. It wasn't until the meeting of the Masters that she found Peter. He had been from a pard that was much farther North, a pard of Snow Leopards. And it wasn't like she and Peter had become the best of friends either. She was closer to some of the other animals than she was to him.

So when people started thanking Tasha for the food and giving her their names, she chose to not respond. At least not respond with her name. Everyone had a plate set in front of them. And Ace, who was now a naked human, was over beside Jannie offering food from his plate to her. So she lifted the lid of her plate, still in Hybrid form, and sniffed the food. "It doesn't smell poisoned, I guess it will do. But why have you brought us here panther? Planning to finish what your Nim Raj started?"

She made no plans to shift forms. She had yet to get sick from starvation and exposure. Not because she was greedy with her food, but because she had been so well fed before. She had done just fine for herself without her pard's protection. And now in this make-shift pack they had become, she was still doing just fine. And she chose to inform the panther of such. "We were just fine without you around, we would have survived without you coming to our rescue." She felt she had the right to question the motives of their apparent savior.

But that didn't stop her from eating ... She just chose to pick at the food and eat with her fingers, for now at least.

Dealing with fuzzballs Empty Re: Dealing with fuzzballs

Post by Holly Redcorn Fri Dec 10, 2010 4:03 am

~~Holly sat at a table with Paul, the only other werebear. When the guys came in, she took the offered napkins. She had been back in the cave while the others were hunting. Not because she was on the verge of starvation, anything but. No, she stayed behind to protect Jannie and Victoria while the others were out on the hunt.
~~She wasn’t sure of exactly what was going on or what had gone down, so she was just sitting there quietly. But when the elf and some red-haired woman came in, they had spray cans. At least now she understood why the two men had told her to cover her face. Have you ever seen a bear try to use it’s hands? They work, but for something like handling napkins?
~~Somehow, she managed though. She figured out how to cover her face, most of it at least. And then she sneezed anyway. Which sent the napkins flying from her face and across the table. So she kept her eyes closed and her paw over her nose. She waited until it sounded like others were taking their napkins down before she removed her paw and opened her eyes.
~~Of course, Jasper and his big mouth helped with that. Plus the woman had spoken to them. She smiled when she realized that this woman was trying to be nice. What made her realize this? Well, she gave her name, asked for theirs, and now there was food coming through the door. And it was for them. Holly was thrilled.
~~She looked over at Paul and smiled. When Marie was though with her attitude, Holly spoke up. “Hello, I am Holly. Thank you for the food.” She shifted back to her human form and removed the lid from the plate. It looked as good as it smelled. She picked up her fork and took a bite. And it tasted as good as it looked.
~~Holly wasn’t going to get into it with anyone at that moment. She was hungry, having given up all of her food for the last week. But as anyone could tell, if they looked at her undressed form, she had plenty stored up for the winter. She always did. After all, just like any other bear, she did her best to hibernate in the winter. The closest she ever came to it though was sleeping all day and all night for two weeks, only waking to use the restroom and to eat. But she was working on it.
~~It was true that she too had issues with the werepanthers. But she had a good memory, and she didn’t remember seeing or smelling this one at the attack on her family. Holly’s Ursa had marked each and every werepanther that was there that day. And this child did not bear any mark. Which was the second reason that Holly did not believe this one to have been there. So Holly was not going to lash out at her for something she did not do. Instead, she chose to just eat and listen.

Dealing with fuzzballs Empty Re: Dealing with fuzzballs

Post by Victoria Clox Fri Dec 10, 2010 5:30 am

When the elf came back through the door, he had a woman with him. She was pretty. They started to spray the room with an air freshener. Victoria couldn't blame them, the group did stink when they were in an enclosed space. She even chuckled about it as she was covering her face with the napkins.

She was the first one to notice that the mist had died down. She was in her human form after all. She didn't have a Hybrid form. She reached over and tapped Quintessa's arm so she would know that she could take her napkins down. But she didn't tell anyone else. She found humor in watching them wait. Though she didn't laugh out loud about it.

The woman introduced herself as Tasha. Victoria sat and listened. She heard others starting to introduce themselves, and even saw Ace going to the table to offer part of the food from his plate to Jannie. Then she heard Marie's loud mouth. She waited until Holly was done speaking, because she had chimed in right after Marie. "Marie, that was beyond rude. You'll have to excuse Marie, she's an elitist. She thinks she's better than other cats." Victoria wasn't exactly shy.

After she glared at Marie for her attitude she looked at Tasha. "I'm Victoria. And if you don't mind, I am going to eat before it gets cold." Her voice almost sounded raspy. But it was the natural sound of her voice. It wasn't because she had been in the cave praying for food. She smiled and turned to see a woman joining her and Quintessa at their table.

She smiled at the woman and took a bite of her food as the woman introduced herself. When her mouth was empty, she extended her right hand for a shake. "Hello Fia, it's a pleasure. And yes, I am Swanee, or wereswan if you prefer. How did you know?" She smiled as her left hand moved to scratch the back of her head. She was dirty, as had been stated before. And when she scratched, a black feather fell out of her hair. Which almost looked like feathers when it was clean anyway.

She had been through a lot. First her flock was slaughtered, then her Master of the City was murdered, then her brother of a feather died from exposure. Now here she was, in this beautiful Inn. And she was looking at a plate of hot food and her new family was surrounding her. What more could a girl ask for? "It is a long story Fia. Maybe later, if there's time. I'm not quite sure of everything that is going on around here yet, so ..." She smiled again.

She did notice the references to Tasha being a cat. She liked cats, well as much as a bird could like them anyway. So she wasn't sure why everyone was making such a fuss. But then it dawned on her that Marie had said panther. She had called Tasha a panther. And given she was looking at a human, that meant that Tasha was a werepanther. A look spread across her face that was part fear and part anger. Anger over what the werepanthers had done to her flock, and fear that as the last one she knew to exist, she could be next. She looked to Fia and whispered, for what good it did her. "She wasn't one of the werepanthers that slaughtered our families, was she?" She had to know.

Dealing with fuzzballs Empty Re: Dealing with fuzzballs

Post by Jessica Ander Sun Dec 12, 2010 2:36 am

@}~~>~~Jessica sat alone at a table quietly while napkins were being handed out to everyone. She eyeballed the two men who were passing them out like they were eye candy. Of course, to her, they were. She waited until she saw others putting their napkins over their faces before she did so. Though she thought about not doing it, she had been through worse.

When all the spraying was done, she took her napkins down. There was still some mist in the air, but she didn't much care either way. She looked at the woman, Tasha, as she stood at the front of the room. She listened to her as she spoke. She made note of who was going to be entering the room and of who was who. So when the doors opened again, the only surprise was the woman. She looked back at Tasha. Seeing no cue from her that the woman was a threat, she trusted that it was safe enough.

The woman was helping the two men pass out plates of food. And when she put one down in front of Jessica, she nodded. Hard to smile with the face of a dog. "Thank you." She had manners, even in this form. She should, they had been drummed into her head.

She shifted back to her human form before removing the lid to her plate. The other thing she did was that she closed her eyes and said a silent prayer to bless the food. No one would have heard her as there were no sounds made. It was more of mouthing the words she said in her head than anything else.

After Victoria spoke to the woman, Tasha, she was so bad with names. After Victoria spoke to Tasha Jessica looked up at her. "My human name is Jessica, you may call me by that." Then she smiled at her and began to eat.

She had an animal name too. One that would catch others by surprise. And perhaps she would tell that to Tasha someday. But not at this moment. She needed more information before she would open up like that. The others in the little make-shift pack did not even know that. There was a lot they did not know. Like where she came from, or what she came from. They didn't know anything about her other than when Jasper answered the call of the Master, that he found her to have already been there. And that was all anyone needed to know for now. ~~<~~@

Quin was a bit tired she had chased that elf girl almost all the way here than ended up going all the way back to the pack. She like most of the other weres was in hybrid form. She took the napkins when they were offered and held it to her face. Unlike Victoria who held in the laughing she let it out. The spray had dissipated and everyone was still sitting there holding them to their faces. She really found it funny. Then there was food? Not just scraps but actual food. She sniffed at the air and giggled again.

What was she going to do? She reached into the bag she had with her and pulled out a dress. It was just a bit worn and needed to see a washing machine badly but hey it was what she had. She shifted from her hybrid form to her human form. She pulled the dress on over her head. "I'm Quintessa but you can call me Quin. Thanks for the food."

She looked at Fia with a smile. "Hello." She than looked at Vanessa. "I doubt she had anything to do with what happened to your pack." Was a pack what the swans called them selves? Was she telling the truth? She hoped she was telling the truth.
