To Hell with all of them.

He didn't need their anti-humanistic views shoved down his throat every day. There was enough shit being tossed around by everyone else and hitting him in the face that he didn't need any 'family' adding to the pile. The whole lot of them were stubborn pricks anyway and there narrow minded views kept them isolated.

They probably didn't even see him leave. Not like it was anything rare. Him walking out on conversations. The most they got was a flash of his fingers or a pursing of his lips as he left. They'd have to be really lucky for that much.

If you were lucky then you were rare for people and personalites were a dime a dozen these days. Everyone in the group acted the same damn way so if you met one person from that social circle you met them all. Then why the hell did he stay around them?

Hell if he knew. But that's why he had left his home this time, needed to get some space. In his walking he saw the large place on a hill and it was a good a place to go as any.

The place looked rather deserted but he kept his eyes out for life signs. When he opened the door he kinda stood off to the side of it and looked around, running his hand through his gelled dirty blonde hair.

And so....

He was walking up one of the many ramps to the Inn. "Damn why did I need to bring so much crap back with me from vacation. Mental note. One bag on long trips." He looked up and smiled. "Almost there" As he looked up at the doors to the Inn. He finally got to the doors and even with his hands full and everything. He took a hand and pushed in the main door. He walked inside and took of all the bags and the trunk that he was dragging. "It feels good to be back." He put his hands in front his his face and cupped them. "Ojiisan, I am home." He said with a raised voice.

He then looked around and saw the new person hanging around. He walked over to him. "Oh for the love of.....Please do not tell me that you have been waiting long." He leaned over the counter and pulled a book out. "If you have I am extremely sorry for the wait. My grandpa can be a little hard of hearing sometimes. So....would you like to get a room?"

And so.... Empty Re: And so....

Judging by the outside this was a pretty big place and that he didn't knock or look for any way to announce his presence aside from walking through the door and standing there proved just how much he cared at the moment. He would have gone walking around the place if it had not been for the sounds he heard from outside. When the door opened he gave it a look as well as the guy who came through carrying a lot of bags.

People liked to carry things.  Even things they really didn't need but they carried it with them anyway. Bringing life to the carrying around baggage hyperbole. Note what he had with him, nothing but the clothes on his back and whatever the hell he happened to have in his pocket. If he hadn't heard at the man had gone on some type of vacation he would have guessed anyway by the way he shouted that he was home.

So what was this place? Either the old man this boy had called out to liked to live in a huge abandoned place all to himself, or the fact that they were letting out rooms meant that they needed the money. Maybe they just needed the company. If they wanted to invite strangers in to f-ck around in their private home that was fine by him.

He dug around his pocket and pulled out a fist of silvers.  That meant ten.  Placed them on the desk.

"That do for a small room?"

If not then he was shit out of luck for the moment.

He just smiled before taking the silver from the desk. "Yes that will do nicely. Again I do apoligize for the lack of manners that my Ojiisan is displaying at the moment. I guess he is sleeping. But since it took a while for you to get a room the first three days are on the house. Well now with ten silver, that will fourteen days plus the three days on the house. That comes to 17 days." He leaned over and grabbed a key.

"Well you room number is 303. It is upstairs on the third floor two doors from the stairs on your left. There is a full sized bed, a shower, a television. But where are my manners my name is Tokada and welcome to The EverLasting Inn. First floor has a lounge, bar, dinning hall, The staff is twentyfour seven so no matter when ever you are hungry just come on down to the bar and someone will fix you up something. Second floor is the ball room for all kinds of situations. Downstairs in the basement is the gym, sparing arena, and an Olympic sized swimming pool. Out side in the back is a garden and hotsprings if you so desire to relax in them."

He could do the math and he did so in his head. Sounded to him that a small room earned near a silver and a half a night. And the were on an upper level floor. It was a good way to get someone to walk through some of the place. Might even call it publicity but he wouldn't go that far.

As long as he kept tossing down a fist full of silvers every 14 days he'd be set for as long as he was staying. However long that was. Hell. He could be paid up for those 17 days, spend a night to leave in the morning and come back on the last day. Wouldn't matter.

Well that was it then. This guy, Tokada, had grabbed a keyband gave the lowdown on the place but was there anything to sign? He already paid and his money was taken so technically he should be able to wander without any fuss. The guy didn't do anything and as for this layabout he was waiting on the key. Wouldn't do for him to go breaking down doors.

Maybe the key was his name.

"Mael Feu."

Rich and rolling bit of tongue in that one.

He just smiled as he opened up the book that he grabbed earlier and he went through about three quarters of the book before finding the first open spot. He wrote down the mans name before turning the book around and put the pen down between the pages. "If you will just sign here next to your name , you will be able to go to your room. Oh before I forget but you will probably find out here in a few." He turns around and point down about 40 feet behind him. "There is an elevator over there for your convenience. Is there anything else you would like to know about the place?"

The guy said there was an elevator behind him, something he'd take the guys word on. No need to lie about something as trivial as an elevator. Probably was a big deal to Tokada considering the man had pulled in a country behind him in the form of bags, but Mael didn't really care.

He didn't have any bags.

And so Mael picked up the pen as he said, "No," and scrawled out his name. He didn't have anymore questions. Everything he needed to know he was told and he wasn't the sort to ask about things he didn't give a damn about.

Done he put the pen down and turned the book back over. All he needed now was the key.

He looked over the book and smiled. "Ok then here you go enjoy your stay." He extended his hand palm up holding out the key for him.

The key. Finally. He had begun to think that the only way of getting it was to play a round of twenty questions and get answers he hardly cared for.

Not to be taken personally, if he didn't care to know something then he didn't ask. And when he was told things he didn't care about he gave it as much thought (then) as the dirt under his shoe. That's how things went.

Once he had the key it was switched from one hand to the other and into his pocket. Tokada was not one of the lucky ones today for after Mael had the key he walked pass the guy and headed to the steps and to his room.

Third floor. Small room. TV. The clothes on his back and whatever else was left in his pocket.

What else was needed when you were 'getting away'.
